Wolves - Villa matchday thread

The power on that shot. Good God.

Crosses coming in a bit deep but Doherty gives a great pass to much better Jota but as Al Mahamady goes to ground Jota sees his moment and having a little time, composes himself and as the whole ground rises and the roof starts to come off he thrashes that past the keeper, absolutely might have stayed in the dressing room, never going top get near that. Fantastic goal.

We are so fucking good. Thoroughly deserved goal

Needless to say, the assist came from Cav. The ball just rocketed into the top left corner. What a fucking goal!
Pleasure it is to listen to a player like Jota. Tearing up this league.
He's just had another thrash at goal, right footed blast from outside the box just wide of the left post, beating his defender and accelerating like a bolt, little shagger must have a hard on!

The fact that 2 of our back 3 are Batth & Coady who many would have binned off last year & coped with a decent set of attackers says a lot about how far we have progressed

Hogan on for Davis for Villa

Can we not do this? He's playing really well.

Agreed. He had one "old Doherty" moment early on where he didn't close down someone but other than that he doesn't look out of place.

Bright on for Cav soon, I hope. Ivan is going to have some wicked bruises tomorrow.

Somebody played it back to Ruddy.
Not sure but I think that's the first time I've heard his name directly...

Banotini to Cav to Saiss to Doherty back to Cav and.... it's out.
Terry marshalling the defence fairly well.

This half Saiss & the Wing backs have been 10yards further forward - it's been effective

Coady reading the game so well. Great influence on the back 4. Full of authority..

Wolves attacking 4 on 4 and the final ball not quite good enough, going behind Cav.

Need a second. But doesn't this look so much better than the tripe Lambert served up.

How come Alan Hutton has been good in this game?! I'm loving watching Neves play
