Wolves Loan Watch 2025/2026

Made me laugh that they put him, a right footed 6'5 chap, at LWB :D

Maybe he has Max Kilman futsal skillz

It shows the difficulties of making it as a top level player. And I mean Champ and above as a sign of real success. He looked like he had everything you needed tools wise and had a successful loan at Plymouth, but has stagnated and regressed since.

From this weekend:

Nasser Djiga - Rangers (SPL)
Playedthe full game in a 1-0 win vs Hibs.

Boubacar Traore - FC Metz (Ligue 1)
Played 84 minutes of a 3-2 home defeat to PSG as Metz stay bottom, four points from safety.

Tommy Doyle - Birmingham City (Championship)
Played the full game in a 1-1 draw at home to Charlton and got the assist for the goal, swinging in a great free-kick from deep which was met with a looping header. Unlucky not to get another assist late on with another great cross from the right,

Pedro Lima - Porto B (Liga Portugal 2)
Played just the first half as Porto B beat Penafiel 1-0.

James Storer - Greenock Morton (Scottish Championship)
Played in a 1-0 defeat at home to Aidrie. Poor for the goal, letting a header go underneath him.

Arthur Nasta - Hornchurch (National League South)
Played in a 4-1 win at Dover to progress to the FA Trophy 4th round.

On as sub: Sasa came on after 66 minutes in a 2-1 away win - LASK are now second, three points behind leaders RB Salzburg,

Not in squad: Lembikisa, Griffits

No game: Carson, Benjamin

Nigel Lonwijk got his first goal for Luton last night as he played the full game in their 3-2 defeat at Reading - great goal as well, smashed it in from 25 yards out. And yes, looks like he played RB again.

Tommy Doyle got a straight red card in the 18th minute at Sheffield Utd. Brum are 2-0 down

From last weekend:

Boubacar Traore - FC Metz (Ligue 1)
Played 70 minutes and scored two goals in their 3-0 cup win at 4th-tier Blesheim. Both goals, the first left-footed and the second with his right, came from just inside the box.

Tommy Doyle - Birmingham City (Championship)
Lasted just 18 minutes of Blues' 3-0 defeat at Sheff United after getting a straight red for a challenge on the touchline - his first professional sending off. Will miss the rest of the festive fixtures.

James Storer - Greenock Morton (Scottish Championship)
Played in a 5-0 defeat at league leaders St. Johnstone. The first went through him too easy, not much he could have done about the rest.

Hayden Carson - Chester FC (National League North)
Played the full game in a 3-1 loss at home to South Shields.

Arthur Nasta - Hornchurch (National League South)
Played in a 2-2 draw at home to Enfield.

Not in squad: Djiga (AFCON), Lima, Lembikisa, Griffiths, Benjamin

No game: Kaladjzic

A few bits from Boxing Day/27th.

James Storer played in a 1-1 draw at home to Ayr - did well to keep the initial shot out but the follow-up sneaked under his body. Arthur Nasta helped Hornchurch win at 3-2 at local rivals Dagenham.

Not in squad: Djiga (AFCON), Doyle (suspended), Carson, Lembikisa, Griffiths, Benjamin

Hopefully to play, by virtue of the fact he’s not Tchatchoua, Hoever or Doherty he instantly becomes our best option!
Hopefully it means someone like Hoever can go in January.

I suspect that they probably just think that it hasn't been a successful loan and that he'll go out on another one, potentially towards the end of the window once Edwards has had a look at him in training.

Or we are going to sell him.

I just can't comprehend how he'd be a worse option than all of Doc, Tchatchoua and Hoever. He didn't seem bad in the little we saw of him last season.

Anyway, he played 8 full games in total for Porto B, getting one assist.

Alfie Pond has gone to Crewe for the rest of the season.

Lima was excellent vs Burnley in the League Cup and I didn't think he was bad against Forest in the league, but Vitor decided to dig him out for some reason.

As I said the other day, Porto B was such a stupid, stupid loan. Terrible level of football and a team that isn't even competitive at that level, who will always focus on developing their own players, not ours.

Speaking of Crewe, absolutely no word about Harvey Griffiths since he joined them in September. Not named in a single squad and, of course, no comment from Wolves on whether he's injured or been recalled.

Edit: Just checked and he's due back at Wolves now anyway along with Dexter Lemibikisa. There's another one: Lincoln are a league higher and doing well but a massive 32 minutes across 17 league games for him.

From the rest of the festive fixtures:

Nigel Lonwijk - Luton Town, League One
Played 69 minutes in their 3-0 win at home to Leyton Orient, then a full game in a 10 defeat at Exeter.

James Storer - Greenock Morton (Scottish Championship)
Played in a 3-2 defeat at Partick

Arthur Nasta - Hornchurch (National League South)
Played in a 2-1 defeat at home to Maidstone as Hornchurch get knocked off the top spot.

On as sub: Lembikisa played a few minutes at the end of Lincoln's 2-0 win at Barnsley but then was an unused sub in their final game of 2025.

Not in squad: Djiga (AFCON), Doyle (suspended), Griffiths, Benjamin, Carson
