Wolves / Covid-19

I think their bluff is going to get called. Strange that the three just above the zone are those making the fuss. Mental weakness being shown.

West Ham should be very careful in what they are pushing for if the Leagues 1& 2 use the touted PPG system that’ll see West Ham down.
BHA in particular know for a fact they’ll benefit from both PPG or null & void. Looks like Watford have realised this to, understand looking after their interests but they’re coming across as self preserving arseholes.

Marca saying UEFA have pencilled our game vs Olympiacos in for 6 August.

If that is the case would be nice if wolves could send out some refunds, no chance of supporters being allowed.

Nowt will happen on refunds until its confirmed.

Right now it it could all be cancelled. What happens in Germany over the next month will dictate a lot.

On refunds. I haven’t missed anything to get a refund for West Ham? Assuming none of this has happened

Nope. Until stuff is called off or it's formally announced that it will 100% be behind closed doors then nothing will happen.

None of the Test match tickets for this summer will be refunded as yet for the same reasons, although we already know that we're not hitting the original dates (or anywhere close).

Nothing on refunds yet & wouldn't expect anything till they know whether it's behind closed doors (which anything in August will be) or not.

Was looking forwar to the Olympiacos game , but suspect that I probably shouldn't risk it even if fans are allowed to attend.

The owners have shown their colours in trying to help the area so don't expect that I won't get my money back if I can't get there

Worth noting on refunds that for match by match tickets ie non STH's who had tickets for Bournemouth, anyone Olympiacios, the normal ticket terms are that you can cancel/return your ticket up to 48 hours (this may vary for West Ham away) prior to kick off.

Depending on how you purchased the ticket depends on how you 'return' it (print at home tickets you can just call or email) but you should still be able to do this now regardless of waiting for the official announcement that you can't attend these games if they are even to be played.

I might do mine later got about £200's worth better sitting earning interest in my account.

According to the Express and Star this 50 page document being released from the government anytime now (which hopefully straightens up the rather vague ramblings of Boris last night and subsequent contradictions from senior figures) states that football games (behind closed doors) can be considered as per the 1st June phase.

Govt gives the green light for sport to resume from 01/06.

The PL are to ask the Government to drop neutral grounds.

Government should say no it's too dangerous/not worth the risk

PL then tell the gang of 6 we tried

Moronic. There's little-to-no inherent value to playing at an empty home venue as compared to an empty neutral one- it's just posturing.

The whole thing's more than a little queasy, but the blatant greed and self-interest of the bottom six is properly stomach-churning for this moment in time.

FA have also told PL no relegation isn’t an option full stop, but surely the PL can the FA where to go.

Haven't sky told them that no relegation is a breach of contract?

You can see the point when it's say, baseball, where the dimensions of loads of the grounds are different and so at your home ground you're going to be way more practised than the opposition at hitting towards the short side (if there is one).

Not in football though, the difference in pitch size across all the clubs is so negligible as to be irrelevant. I can't think what other factors would even come into it?

You get the opportunity to prepare the pitch as you wish I suppose but I'd say that's pretty neglible too. Take away atmosphere, which is already a given, and home advantage virtually disappears.
