Dunno if I've missed anyone.

*Edited. Can't ever remember watching Segers so missed him out.

Harsh on every single outfield player we've ever had to not list them above Lonergan.

Yep, Tom Bennett and Dean Richards can both go above Lonners.

We had a centre half have to go in goal for a time a few years back - memory is fading & can't remember who it was (name is just on the edges of visible memory) - he wasn't any worse than Lonergan

Shackell (for about one minute) and Doc have also played in goal for us. Doc probably just wanted some different gloves to try on.

TBF we could probably include Paddy above him as well.

Maierhofer went in goal for Bristol City when he was on loan there. Kept a clean sheet as well in his 15 minutes or so. I bet he was incredible to watch.

Would put Ruddy above Hennessey - the top two are right but have to think about the others

Then again I've been around longer than some so Bert Williams is in there (only just caught the very tail end of his time with us, but did see him play - not enough to put him above your top 2 but better than the others)

It's good to have another historian on the forum. I would add Malcolm Finlayson to that list. He took over from Bert Williams when the latter retired and the Williams/Finlayson was the backbone of the most successful period Wolves have ever had, from 1953 through to the Cup Final in 1960. Patricio and Ruddy are a fantastic pair but this team has only had a season and a half success yet. The team of the fifties (with Williams and Finlayson as backup) had a decade of success. So it's a bit premature to talk about the current pair (or even Murray/Hennessy or Parkes/Pierce) being the best Wolves have ever had.

Well he wouldn't have had to jump - which was helpful as he really couldn't anyway

Thank you sir!!

I am okaaay goalkeeper really, but no more so infinitely above the car crash that is Lonergan. I would put Micro above me in that list for a certainty. He is bloody good!

No Phil Parkes?

Murray was eons better than Ruddy.

Phil Parkes wasn't a great keeper. Neither was Gary Pierce - but he did win us a League Cup final. The best thing Parkes did was twat Tony Brown in the first top flight game I ever saw us play. I should also mention another from that era, Alan Boswell. He would certainly give Lonergan a run for his money at the bottom of the list. I never agreed with Frank about many things, but Boswell was one of them.

I thought Lofty twatted Clive Clark(e)?

Very surprised that Paul Bradshaw hasn't had a mention (unless I've missed it somewhere). Boswell is the worst goalkeeper I've had the misfortune to see in a Wolves side.

Dave Woodfield?

Ha. I was at both those games.

Who knocked Stowell out? Baggie bastard that he was?

Paul Williams, truly awful player

Eric Young broke his cheekbone vs Stoke when Deano went in goal

Bradshaw seventh in my top ten list above
