I go back to Bradshaw in goal. Murray is way ahead of anyone else including Rui. It's not close, great shot stopper, commanded his box, intimidated the opposition, couldn't kick, but Rui is regressing to the same level.

Michael Owen should have scored 80 goals for England but injury stopped him. You can't use the argument of could have should have. History shows that ultimately Ruddy will end his career with more England caps than Matt.

Can't have that for Rui either. His pedigree is proven. Poor Matt has 2 good season's in a 10 year career. Despite his brilliance the poor bugger was made of biscuits.

Would say Rui's kicking is slightly better but only because he can pick a pass every now and again. Murray wins on area domination. Rui is good there but Murray was a different league.

Only area I would put Rui well ahead of Murray is his speed off the line.

No my argument is that Murray broke before he reached his peak and post 2006 was never getting there again. The arguments on here have Murray miles ahead of Ruddy. To me that is just not the case.

I would have taken Owen at his peak v Rooney at his peak every time but Rooney is England's record scorer as injury ended Owens pace.
