wolves 2 Chelsea 5 verdict

Is MGW capable of doing anything simple? If it aint outside of the foot for a simple ball it aint fancy enough

I'm angry at that performance, if Bennett aint injured Nuno has made a huge mistake, a blind man on a galloping horse could see that Jesus aint ready for the prem

I'm off on holiday now hope when I come back I'll see the Wolves I have been accustomed to. Gutted but its not the end of the world good to see Cutrone got off the mark.

Coady, Saiss and Traore were fucking wank. Our subs were the three best players today.

We are a far better team with Doc in it. I'd sell Traore for scrap.

Being the only threat on the team and constantly creating opportunities out of completely nothing is wank and should be sold for scraps?

If Ruben Dias was genuinely an option, £57m would have been good value

I hope this display knocks a few people down a peg or 3, maybe we're not actually as good as SOME people are making out.

Expecting us to be challenging top 6 and being disappointed we don't win every game is ludicrous.

We're better than yesterday without a doubt though.

And if Dias *wasn't* an option, we could have at least found somebody who was somewhere between him and bennet. It was an easy - and vital - position to improve.

He was never a fucking option. The fact that the club have had their pants pulled down in the transfer market here is embarrassing. The transfer was about as likely as signing Joao Felix.

Despite giving away a pen yesterday, I’ve liked the look of that Soyuncu. Didn’t break the bank, young and looks like he can defend and play at the same time. Plenty of players like that out their we could have signed.

We are suffering from the amount of changes having to be made because of playing two games in a week. Especially Coady who needs his main men alongside him or he looks like he has too much on his plate.

When the fixture list came in it looked a tough start and so it’s proved, I think it’s the manor in which we are playing which is of the biggest concern.
The solid platform of our defence last season was why we did so well, conceding an average of 2 goals per game currently and not lead in a game once.
Biggest thing I’ve noticed in the last 2 games is how big a gap there is between the front 2 and midfield which probably why we’ve seen more long balls being played.
For me there’s a problem with to many players knowing they’ll get regular game time regardless of form.

I wonder if Coady is mentally shot. Last season he wouldn't have let Abraham get in front of him for that header or take him on and get a shot away. He'd have got across to Jesus so the last goal wouldn't happen either.

It doesn't help his partners had shockers defensively but last season he controls those players and moves them into positions they don't get isolated or easily turned.

It doesn't help that Donck played like a competition winner in midfield which heaps pressure on the defensive but that is no excuse for the individual errors that occurred yesterday.

He has played every minute since promotion hasn't he? Or damn near.

In the league this year many of our top performers last year have been under performers this, donk , Neves, jota ,boly and now Coady. But we can't go giving any premier league team the space and time Chelsea had yesterday. Even the first goal no one is closing down. Donk isn't close enough for the cross on goal three ,Jesus gives a shit header to, it was all Fred carnos at the back yesterday. Unfortunately reminded me of dark defeat at home to the scum and an antihalation by Fulham when some unknown centre forward scored 4 and we made him look like Pele. We made Abraham look like Batistuta yesterday.

I'm not sure the Europa League tiredness angle (which is what the media have pushed to explain away our start) is the main issue currently.
The PL is unforgiving, we appear to have lost that underdog/novelty factor and (apart from Cutrone, if you're being generous), we still don't have any serious alternatives in the squad. Vallejo is a work in progress at best, Neto looks OK, but at this stage not a proven step up from the likes of Cavaleiro. Not one player to seriously push the first XI, and currently it looks what some of us called it back in the summer; a weirdly unambitious window

Although he's not been great in recent games, wonder if Donck could play the Coady role and give the guy a break, I really think going back to Coady, Boly and Bennet with Doc and Jonny would help, thats not blaming Traore but we just look more organized and cohesive. Tough on Traore as he has been our only real attacking threat but the team situation has to come first.

I'm not buying this 'lack of ambition in the transfer window' thing, yes we all know we needed reinforcements but you can't force players to sign and you can't just chuck money about due to FFP, no doubt we were trying to sign players but I don't think top end players see us the same way us supporters do, we just aren't that attractive......yet

We're unlikely to be if we keep playing like we have for the majority of our first 5 games.

And there are a lot of players you can buy in the space between Ruben Dias and Jesus Vallejo!

Yes there are plenty of players we could have bought, but would we want
to? Not convinced yet by Vallejo but its a bit early to be writing him off

That was so bad I broke a rib last night to take my mind off it. Highlight of the match was the bloke in front unintentionally throwing his program and twatting two people with it.
