Wolves 2 Bournemouth 0; The I hope their Chaiman is ok Verdict Thread

Not sure he even made the Wrong decision. Begovic dived out the way. Anything in a straight line would have been a goal

I'd have to watch it again but I thought initially from watching MotD he looked up to see where Jimenez was and straight after took a heavy touch that basically knocked it onto his right side, I don't think he intended it to go that way

with his first touch he knew he was through and hoped to score.
His 2nd touch took it too wide to shoot, and he should have crossed, but I suspect he'd already made his mind up.

Definitely looked to see where Jimenez was

I think his effort lacked conviction when running through. He has the ability to drive the ball with his right foot towards the back post IMO but what happened was a pretty weak effort. Confidence maybe is the wrong word in terms of Saturday but it was nice to see him grow towards the end of the game.

I'm going to watch the game back this afternoon anyway because I'm sad and have the time. My reflections without having watched were that Costa didn't do nearly as bad as people made out anyway, but I do think he was hesitant and often took the 'easy' option.

Where are you finding the entire match to watch back, mate?

He gave Begovic the eyes with the intention of doing him at the near post, which he bought. Right idea, badly executed shot.

Same here please Jinks or YW.

I have every game of the season if anyone ever needs any

I would appreciate a PM if someone has a link to past games online

The link YW sent seems pretty decent and the games are HD. You just have to contend with a couple of adult based pop-ups flashing up before you can get to the match, though...

Apologies if someone's already posted this and I've missed it!

All this 'last time we won three games in the top division' malarkey - in the season concerned (79 / 80) we won three consecutive games three times! In the September, Everton away 3-2; United at home 3-1 and Arsenal away 3-2. Then in February we beat United away 1-0; Norwich at home 4-0 and Liverpool at home 1-0. Finally in March we beat Villa away 3-1; Stoke at home 3-0 and Coventry away 3-0. For those too young to remember we finished 6th and won the League cup. All hail John Espirito Barnwell

Emlyn Hughes "This is your life" A night I will never forget, John Richards scored the only goal it was like the Alamo as we defended the south bank in the second half IIRC

Had a chat to my Bournemouth 'friend ' yesterday morning - he's still convinced that they absolutely battered us due to the disparity in the possession stats

Didn't seem to understand the concept of possession without doing anything with it is not a battering

Was also of the opinion that they had a complete reserve team out there - yes they had one or two missing, but that was not their reserve team in full - then again he's always been full of shit

Tell him to look at the fucking league table.

I did - he reckons they will go back above us this week as they have Brighton at home & we are hosting Liverpool - he's one who, whatever argument you put forward he will have a counter to (even if it makes no sense)

Sounds like a bit of a nob.

Sounds like a nob.

That's about the size of it - was the Club Captain at the Bowls Club last season & he's upset at least 30% of the membership, plus a number of other club's members & league officials, plus been censured by the Executive Committee. Fortunately stood down for next season - did put himself forward, but as soon as someone else did & there would have to be a vote then tippexed his name out. A vote would have been a humiliating defeat for him!
