Biggest issue is we could say i’d rather see someone else about most of the squad. No one is consistent, from the keeper to all of the defenders. Semedo has been getting plaudits but i’m not sure how, looks great when he’s playing well but it so passive and looks like he’s gonna give a shit goal away every game. That’s the high bar for our full backs right now and it’s horrific.

We could replace all of the frontline, for all his deficiencies Adama is the best one of the lot which says a lot about the rest.

I think we have good midfielders but we have no idea how to use most of them and i think this is affecting even Neves now imo.

Wasn’t worried when Lopetegui came in, definitely wasn’t after the first few games and after Liverpool and Southampton i thought we would be comfortably safe. However we’ve only won 1 since and the manager keeps getting glaringly obvious things wrong. Team selections, setup, subs etc… he’s got things right in 2 halves and 20 minutes at Newcastle since. We don’t seem to cope with adversity very well, the decisions against us are becoming a joke now but we’ve got to handle things better, the referees aren’t giving the goals away.

No idea whether we stay up or not but Julen has to find his best team and stick with the plan or actually have a plan to begin with, i think we’ve lost out identity again that we had when he came in.

The ref had nothing to do with 3 of the goals we conceded and in reality the 4th was irrelevant.

I think the fact that on here we are all over the place on who is shit and who is just a bit better than shit, with so many conflicting opinions on who we should and shouldn't have in the team is a damning indictment of truly how poor we are as a team. Because, honestly, I don't think anyone is wrong, I think everyone's opinion on who is the most shit is valid. Which is extremely worrying with a lot of crucial games remaining. I'm not sure we have players with the mentality for a dogfight. Not one.

I think you’re right. I do think we get less decisions go for us than against us and there may be some sort of unconscious bias for whatever reason but the referee’s are just shit. Look at Jonny today, could see from the Southbank it was a straight red yet standing right there only gave a yellow.

Pretty much wrote my next post, I hate being I told you so but a lot of us on here were warning that keeping Bruno would be disaster pretty much from this point last season.
No coincidence he was out of work before coming here and has been since leaving.
It winds me up that people say he wasn’t that bad because he beat Villa twice and won at Old Trafford. Bollocks numerous shit managers have done that to.

It’s a point I made previously the penalty call we got against Forrest, Liverpool goal being chalked off a few weeks ago.
It’s why we wreak of relegation currently, constantly bemoaning bad luck and shit refs. Don’t score enough and look a car crash at the back combined with ill discipline when faced with adversity.
