Wolves 2-2 Crystal Palace: Verdict Thread

His response to the equaliser was to turn round to the fans behind him with a face like a smacked arse and mouth something with 'fuck you' vibes
Yep that's how I saw it, although I thought "fuck off" rather than "fuck you"

I would hope that anyone trying to defend that game as anything other than 2 points dropped against a team we need to beat watches Palace's 2nd goal again.

How the fuck is that acceptable defending at any level? It's fucking embarrassing. It's a lack of organisation, a lack of effort, a lack of confidence and a lack of ability. We just cannot keep conceding such cheap goals and to me, it says that we're not improving at all. We still have such dreadful defensive lapses in us and no matter how promising we look at times going forward, it's this that will send us down.

Livid tbh - what a fucking terrible, cheap way to throw away a priceless lead.

Just watching the goals back, Guedes FFS on the equaliser. That is criminal.

I hated him anyway so it's not moved the dial but I cannot believe any professional player does that.

I get you can't run a club with the emotional investment of a fan, but probably similar to most people I start to get excited and hopeful about the league season sometime in early July and start to look forward to the return. It's now the start of November and we are still yet to see our side win. And it does feel like they don't care at all about that from the higher up levels.

Added to that we had the fiasco of some of the defeats we have had already, and then the bizarre window and lack of true strengthening to keeper and CB. How anyone can look at this run and see keeping him as sustainable or likely to change is baffling and now verging on negligence.

not seen anything, as away with work but sounds like the usual nonsense against a poor team without their star man.

And we won’t even sack him. It’s actually pathetic

VAR saying ball was in both his hands and therefore in his control.
Undeniable unless there is an agenda against him. And we know there is. He isn't to blame for us not winning today. That is firmly on GON and the way we "defend."

There was a definite edge today. If we hadn't equalised the crowd would have turned. It was on the cusp before our first goal
It had turned. He was lucky we scored as it was getting unpleasant after the substitutions.

There are not many positives from that. All the same problems repeated week after week.

I said the other day that I wasn't in the territory of wanting us to lose so he gets sacked.

However (if we don't sack him in the next 48 hours, which we won't) I now DON'T want us to win vs Southampton because this is unsustainable.

And him flapping away with his cling film wrists then blaming someone else for the first goal is fine, I suppose.

The agenda is that he continually gives away abysmal goals and has done for three and a bit years, because he is fucking shit.

You don't have to worry about that as there is no way we are beating Soithampton defending like that. They looked reasonable today v Everton.

He's not alone tbf. We've defended like that at the back post all season.

JSL just saying that the 1st goal was "A mix up between me and Sa". Who knows whether the shout was late or JSL just ignored it but it's another page in a catalogue of errors at set-pieces.

We’re going down anyway so might as well lose v Southampton as at least we’ll get someone new then.

I can’t bring myself to listen to Gaz and his gormless fucking bleating anymore.

He called for it. Larsen headed it. I know that doesn't suit your argument because you've had your agenda for months. Stuff like that happens to all keepers.

And yes, I agree, he makes blunders that cost goals but so do all players. As I've said before, when a keeper makes an error it is amplified. Frankly, I'd much rather have Sa in goal than Johnstone simply because he is prepared to take responsibiity on crosses. Johnstone is like a shit Patricio, stuck on his line.
