Wolves 2-0 Brentford: Verdict Thread

Something tells me I should feel insulted…

I wonder if we will get a mention longer than 5 words in the ‘crooks of the matter’ this week
Just about. Nunes will get in again.

“A great assist from Nunes.

Thomas Frank will be disappointed with their result as their European hopes fade.

Speaking of Europe, I had a great trip to [insert random country] over Easter. The weather was much better than in England, so I was at least able to enjoy some sun in the last few weeks. LOL”

Gomes has had two dominant games, we looked poor after he went off. He's made us tick the last two games which are probably our best two performances of the season so it makes sense to drop him.
Well have to agree to disagree, don't think we looked poor at all after he went off, thought we looked pretty comfortable.

Ok ok, calling Alan 'Garth Crooks' was beyond the pale and for that I apologise. Danny Murphy it is then...
3 for 3 on references I am too oblivious to feel anything about!

I don't really care about the flags, though I think it looked pretty good today though.

Just think it's bad craic to take the stuff bought and paid for by a fan organised group and especially as most will just end up in the bin now.
I can see why though if you don’t know anything about “the movement” on social media, you might think it’s just another flag stuck on your seat by the club and you can then take it home with you.

I still have my flag from promotion season. In a drawer somewhere.

Living it up in the Canary Islands, watched the game but audio was 5 secs in front of pictures lol. Costa deserved that for his efforts. The last two games make me quite optimistic for next season still need another win to be out of it. Good performance.

Nunes was terrific, I wasn’t bothered he was going to Liverpool I f**king well am now. Manager has answered a few questions and I think he’s addressed the discipline issues as well, that was a penalty if we were man city the whistle would have been blown no doubt.

Chuffed to f**k with the lads Sarabia wasn’t mega but hes is growing into it top half next year.

As for Neves he is the Bollox full stop but get another win and Lop may be dress rehearsing for next season. I’m sure he will get the biggest ever goodbye he has been sensational for us up there with anyone I have ever seen in a Wolves shirt and I’m an old fucker now

Neves will go down as a club legend, totally immersed himself in the club culture and fan base since being here, humble with it too.
Quality is the best I’ve seen from any Wolves player.
Remember that strike at Hull in 2017 and us all realising what we had.
Trust me if Neves had been out all season I’m sure we’d be dead and buried now.

Forget Hull, that 80 yard pass against Middlesbrough and the stadium collectively gasping 'fucking hell' for the first time of many.

He'll pass 250 appearances before the end of the season and it's been an absolute privilege.

Some of the older posters will have to confirm but my dad always tells me about the reception Kennt Hibbitt got coming back to Wolves after he left, I suspect this is the closest my age group will get to that if he stays in the Premier League.

Hibbitt came back with Bristol Rovers I think. Before my attending time but I have been told he got a great reception.

As a reverse of this, I was at Hillsborough when Leon came on as a sub for Wednesday and was roundly booed by all four sides of the ground

My dad can't really get to games anymore, but I really, really want him to see Ruben Neves before....you know. He's one of those players who look so much more impressive when you see them 'live' rather than on the telly.
