Wolves 2-0 Brentford: Verdict Thread

With Moutinho probably leaving too (he’d be nice to keep as a sub, but it’s probably a hefty wage for just that) we’d be left with Gomes, Lemina, Traore and Hodge - I’d want to keep Neves for his experience, with ideally loaning Hodge out somewhere in the Championship

Of course - forgot about him with him playing wide right…

Reports up here are that Newcastle are going to be in for Rice, so if that's the case Neves may not be on their list?

I think if he’s going to stay in the league then Liverpool would be most likely: there will be a scrap for Rice, MacAllister and Caicedo but Neves would cost a lot less than those three.

I don’t think United would want him with Eriksen and Casemiro.

Newcastle will be linked with whoever is overpriced with a reputation. Especially if they get CL.

I can’t see Rice going to Newcastle. There success this season is not guaranteed to be repeated and he’ll being looking to play Champions league football each year.

Newcastle will competing for Champions League football every season. They will be better than Spurs and Chelsea for the foreseeable future IMO.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Villa finished above them this year, to be honest. Emery is getting a lot out of some bang average players (Watkins, Ramsey and Martinez aside).

Emery is doing a brilliant job but Villa will run out of games I think. Liverpool, Brighton, Newcastle and Man Utd all have at least one game in hand.

By the time those are played I'd expect Villa to have dropped a place or two, probably through no fault of their own.

All the talk about Watkins for England is boring, what do they think Southgate will do to accommodate him? Drop Kane? Of course not.

As I said yesterday when someone asked the question, Toney is about to get 6 months off or thereabouts so there's a squad place there

Deserves a place in the squad though doesn't he?

Been called up before and now in better form than he was then.

Newcastle will be linked with everyone, especially if they get CL football next season
Oh, that's it just shoot my post down in full view of everyone, belittle me in front of my peers, people who held me in high regard will now have a lesser view, unbelievable :sneaky:

He's the most in form English striker since the World Cup. Matching Haaland in that time with 11 goals in 12 games.
