That's a failure of Wolves rather than the player though, and a gamble any club takes signing any player at that age. You aren't going to meet many 18 year olds that have got themselves that centred at such an early age that you could bet the farm on them, again Wolves' mistake. Making that gamble such an expensive one probably just makes it more likely to fail, with the extra pressure that sort of fee brings, than anything else.
