A comfortable first half but rode our luck at times second half.

Still, a clean sheet and another win is not to be sniffed at. And at least shows the progression under VP that we can compete in these sorts of tight, niggly games and hold resolute.

A niggly match, but we played some decent stuff at times, particularly in the first half.

The difference between GON's squad and Vitor's is night and day. It's a bigger difference than Lage and Lop IMO. Just goes to show the difference a decent coach can make. And you can see how much it means to Vitor - I really like him.

We probably just about deserved it for the first half performance, even though West Ham improved a lot after the break.

MOTM Joao - superb display. Andre also at his now consistent high standard.

Good first half, made very hard work of the 2nd half. They made changes that we didn't really seem to adjust to or cope with very well. Still, we hung on and defended resolutely, only allowing them a couple of good chances, one of which you'd have expected to see them score from.

Joao Gomes MOTM for me tonight, with Doc a close 2nd. I thought he was the best of the defenders tonight. JSL took his goal well, nearly created a second (sort of) for Munetsi, but I'm still bit underwhelmed by his ability to hold the ball up and bring others into play. Bellegarde and Andre also had decent games again. Toti was not at his best, a few very iffy decisions in possession.

Overall, happy with the win but a draw may have been a fairer reflection of the game.

Ref was shit.

Superb first half. Some really good football played and organised throughout. Gave up a chance to Ferguson who should have scored but always going to happen with where we are. Other than that, thought we were well on top.

Completely different game second half because the result became more important than the performance so we were left hanging on a bit.

I thought West Ham were giving it out all night (and have a fair few dislikable players, but then they probably think the same about us) - so their saltiness at the end was fantastic. Potter had a clear pop at Vítor for his celebration - but fair play to Vitor. We were dead and buried when he came and now we’re looking up rather then down. Let him have his moment.

I’m gonna ignore their miss at the end cos that really should have gone in - and Marshall missed two sitters - how he stayed on for the 90 again I have no idea.

Joao Gomes MOTM. Absolutely everywhere.

How we walked away with all 3 points is a mystery but I'll take it.

3 points against Ipswich and its job done

Terrible awful game but a win's a win.

Toti... WTF was that last 30 mins?

Agree with Gomes MOTM. Also, hats off to Semedo... different player with the captaincy. I've been a critic over his time here but finally we're seeing some leadership, desire and ability.

Just him time for him to leave for free in the summer…

Did I not like that second half. Nice and comfy first half though. The celebrations at the end, Vitor`s living the dream. Gomez MOM, just signed a new contract too. We`re stopping up, happy days!!!

Semedo gets in a lot of sides in the Premier League. He’s been a good servant for the club despite paying too much for him. I don’t get the criticisms of him.
He's been Mr Reliable. He'll have maybe 2 or 3 poor games a season, his problem has been that he doesn't really have enough 'wow' games.

My criticism was that up until this season he's been poor positionally, powder puff in the tackle and generally seemed like a rabbit in the headlights. I guess the coaching wouldn't have helped but since being given the captaincy it is like he now has an inner belief and he's showing some leadership. All qualities I thought we were getting when we signed him.
