Wolves 0 - 2 Huddersfield: The Verdict.

Came on here to have a bit of a rant, but having read some of the above i won't bother.

Sack Nuno, players don't care, don't pay their wages? Some of you need to get a grip. We have had the best football at wolves over the past 18 months most of us under 40 will ever have seen, only a few weeks ago we were being called the best promoted team. And we are still 11th.

Yes we didn't play well, but let's trust the manager and players to sort it out. And if it doesn't go well we keep on trying.

Those’ll be the ones that boo’d at halftime then fucked off when the second goal went in.

just got home an d wow still trying to disseminate the last few hours.
One of the worse performances I’ve by ourselves in a long time, certainly one of the worse top flight displays I’ve seen us put in.
Doherty st fault for the first goal, wasteful in possession and never tracking his runner.
Moutihno just looked like he wanted an eternity on the ball.
Boly not reading the game well at all distribution just awful and gave away the free kick that led to the 2nd goal.
Raul today looked like a Sunday league player, shooting from the bar line and god knows what he was doing when he got into the box and picked it away.
Traore isn’t the answer, he’s quick yes but his end product leaves a lot to be desired.

Body language of the players didn’t look good either, looked lethargic and complacent at times,
Huddersfield got their tactics spot on and nuno was completely out thought by Wagner.
Am I concerned? Yes 1 point out of 15, 3 straight home defeats conceding 7 only 12 goals in 13 games.

The players are the ones that need to have a look at themselves after that I am affraid. Huddersfield were better than us today, but first half especially there were some that were not even putting in the effort and that is the bare minimum that is required.

Villa
Fulham
Sunderland
Watford
Huddersfield

Worst games of 2018. But today's was probably the worst. 8 players failed to turn up

Well that wasn't very good (master of understatement)

Neves had his worst game in a Wolves shirt, as did Moutinho. Boly was awful. And as for Traore, he was almost comical he was so utterly utterly shite.

Dear me.

That was appauling. Out thought and tbh out fought.

Cav's first half performance was an absolute crime against football. I feel a little bad for singling him out as several others were very poor but he was next level.

Thought Coady did pretty well and Vinagre didn't do too much wrong. Otherwise everyone needs a long, hard look at themselves as that was unacceptable I'm afraid.

Can take points off Man City Man Utd and Arsenal yet get stuffed by Watford and Huddersfield. The inconsistency is what kills. I can take the unlucky losses to Leicester and Brighton and the slightly fortunate win at West Ham in another poor game. But let's not mince words. We sucked today like we used to suck last time we were here and that's not where I thought we would be.

It's one game cyber, it can happen.

Once.

A repeat of that shite fest should be viewed dimly.

MGW looked good when he came on and errr that's about it. Although I do think some of the reactions above are a tad OTT the Cardiff game now looks incredibly important and we can expect similar pressing and a far more physical approach so we need to be much better prepared.

MOTM - MGW, he has to start now Moutinho has had one too many iffy games for my liking.

Traore still created our best chance and fashioned another couple. If we are going to point fingers they need to be pointed at those who literally contribute nothing in an attacking sense.

Traore was an abomination today. Just awful beyond measure. Cav was crap, Costa was crap, but Traore was staggeringly bad.

Indeed. Without meaning to go all meta it's partly how society is now, everything is reactionary and you're only as good/relevant as the most recent thing.

While getting needled by guys from work I've had cause to remember being at Selhurst on New Years' a few years back freezing my arse off amongst the Palace fans watching us do nothing for 90 minutes under Stale. We've all seen some real, REAL shite over the years, and this is not close to that. Poor performance today to be sure but the reaction is partly because we know they are capable of significantly better than that.

Keep the faith.

It's not really good enough to try and saunter through a game because the opposition aren't at the same level as Spurs, City, Arsenal. I still want to see our players track their runners, come short for passes, snap into tackles etc and that was lacking throughout today.

Way too many 'off days' and what annoys me is that if we were playing one of the bigger sides, we don't see that level of complacency.

I'm not massively worried because it's not like we play like that every week, but not too many players can come away from that and think they did the best they could.

Hopefully Nuno will have had words and we won't see such a half arsed effort again.

Nah, he was better than Cav who was atrocious. Costa did fuck all as he tends to.

We need to score goals that it nothing else at the moment. Traore creates opportunities, you can hate on him as much as you like, but he is miles more effective than Costa and Jota. Cav just had one of his random games where he gives the ball away.

Traore was APPALLING. I just don't understand what you were watching to think otherwise.

That's a ridiculous statement. Traore was within 2 centimetres of an assist. Drew a foul in ideal Neves free kick territory and posed more of a threat than Cav and Costa combined

Didn't think Traore was that bad tbh. He's always going to frustrate with his lack of footballing brain, but he was our most dangerous threat for the first 20 minutes or so of the 2nd half.

Really disagree. He did OK. Majority of the chances or openings we were created were through him. He was very quiet for periods and then when he sprang to life, we looked a much more dynamic team.

Views like that on a player like Traore and also people's panicking at today's performance are a really good example of how people go to the extremes so quickly (IMO). When we were in good form people are discussing us challenging the existing order at the top of the league etc and when we are in bad form it's panic stations. We are a mid table team who will be inconsistent throughout the season. I've always thought we will finish between 8th-12th and nothing has really changed that.

Nuno will be really pissed off with that result and majority of the performance. It's a good opportunity to make some changes (I disagree about the lack of depth - only at wing back) but not for us to abandon plans, how we play or write off individuals.

MGW was very bright when he came on - though I think I would have been tempted to have changed the shape of the midfield as we were struggling to get control of the game. Traore was the right sub and I think putting him up front too was the right move - his movement in behind is much better in that role at the moment. It's an issue long term as he has to become better in his proper position at that but playing up front may actually help in the long run I think.

Think Boly and Doc had their worst games for quite a while which is a shame. Vinagre will have some tough times with his run in the team but he's going to benefit massively from the minutes and experience. I didn't think Ruben had as bad a game as people said but he certainly wasn't at his best. Definitely need more from helder in terms of output. He's a player I really love but he needs a goal badly (or an assist).

I was at that one and it was painfully bad - completely agree!
