Winter Improvement Thread (aka Winter Squad Weakening Thread and TWF Suicide Watch)

It may be irrelevant to last night's injury but it isn't in the long term, he seems to have a track record of fairly lengthy lay offs and he's time at Wolves so far is certainly continuing that theme.

It is a non sequitur though. Which is a speciality on here this morning

1. Player A has a series of knee injuries
2. Player A receives a horrendous tackle
3. Player A now has an injured knee

There is nothing to prove that 3 is not exclusively related to point 2. To call said player injury prone is relating point 3 entirely to point 1, which is clearly balls when the cause is point 2

I'm not just talking about this one injury though, he's got a history of fairly severe injuries, 3 this season alone!

Obviously it was a bad tackle last night but no-one knows what the result would've been on a different player, if Zyro has some underlying weakness then he's obviously going to be more prone to injury from that sort of impact than someone who may be stronger.

Yes but if this were a succession of muscular injuries it is easy to say injury prone. With knees it is less certain and it is pretty clear that this injury is caused by the tackle.

That doesn't mean there isn't some underlying weakness though, it's a bad tackle but it's hardly that uncommon for a player to be hit with that sort of force, it could just be bad luck but given the frequency of him picking up these sort of lay offs then you have to consider it could be more than just bad luck.

this is what I meant.

Yes - but you can't blame this injury on his previous record. It is like blaming George N'Dah for getting his leg broken.

I didnt. I said he is prone to injury. He could be unlucky, he could be fragile, he could be both but he spends a lot of time on the treatment table. Thats not good.

I give up. He isn't necessarily prone at all. Last night had nothing whatsoever to do with susceptibility to injury and everything to do with MK playing a complete fucking thug who broke him.

Have to agree Paddy that was just a ridiculous tackle last night, which could easily have been a straight red.

Yes but Aaron Ramsay had injuries before and after the Shawcross incident too dontchya know ;)

why stop there though, David Busst was perma-crocked too.

Fact is last nights injury can be taken in isolation because rather than breaking down he was snapped in half, it shouldn't be hard to grasp, Cyber.

Chances are anybody hit with a 'tackle' like that wouldn't be walking it off.

Let's see. Last night would have crocked anyone as I said. It appears injury happens to Zyro more than most. You could say the same for Darren Anderton . Zyro strikes me as someone who gets injured a lot. Now I used to call that prone to injury but u pedantic feckers seem to think there is another description so please enlighten me with a suitable definition

A player who often gets injured should accurately be described as

Unlucky
Brittle
Fragile

HOW HARD IS IT FOR YOU TO UNDERSTAND?

Last night has to be taken in isolation because he was snapped by a fucking cunt who should have been sent off.

Explain to the rest of us how muscle/ ligament strains are related to impact injuries that would injure anybody?

More drama in here than on the pitch at the moment. Sad state of affairs.

I agree with Paddy. You can't blame any underlying fragility for that injury.

Do we know how long Zyro is out for? A long time would be my guess...

Would only be six if he weren't so injury prone...

*whistle*
