Welcome to Wolves Diogo Jota

Apparently Diogo's name is Diogo José Teixeira da Silva, and I noticed he plays with the name Silva on his shirt.

Don't know why he's called Jota by the media.

He only has Silva on the back of his shirt due to league rules about names.

Exactly

Despite Brentford's Jota being allowed to get away with it.

Just asking to have £250K would cause the odds to crash. "No problem at all. You can have £200 at 12/1 and the rest at 2/1."

Interesting point though - Newcastle were about 2/1 at this point last year. If we added a top striker, would our starting XI really be much weaker than the one Newcastle had in the first game of 2016/17?

You're forgetting that Newcastle had that known English manager with Championship experience and a team full of players who were up for it on a rainy night in Barnsley...

Some pointless rules being dished out this season such as a ban on mowing/rolling designs into the pitches. Leicester not happy with that one.

I can see why. Straight line markings do help the linesman out more a crop circle design.

BBC have our goalscorer as Bonatini Lohner Maia. The Portugese all have weird names.

Aye that's kind of what I meant but didn't get across properly, as they all speak Portugese too.

Fuck all the Afobe news this is the best news we could all wish for.

Seems like good news, but not as good as if he signed here and now, I presume that's so that the spend gets pushed into next season. I'm sure they'll be a 'only if you go up' caveat squirreled away as well.

We're going up. He and his representatives also think that, or we wouldn't be getting the deal publicised. He's ours, permanently, just we wait until July for the paperwork.

Seems a tad arrogant. ;)

Have to admit I was a bit skeptical we'd be able to get him to commit to a permanent move - absolutely delighted we've been able to do so!

Jeff Shi: "By making this statement of our intent it again allows us to be as open and honest with the fans as we can with regards to how we wish to take the club and the squad forward."

In other words, calm your fucking tits you bunch of clowns, we have got this and are doing it properly
