We are watching the match live and commenting on it in real time on an Internet messagboard. If we are not playing well, it might not be an overly positive read at that particular moment. The difference being, comments of those not at the match are recorded on here. Comments from anyone in the ground are not. Why is that so difficult to understand? If I was sat next to you in the ground and turned to you after 10 minutes and said “slow start by us”, would you turn around and start crying that I’m being negative? Of course you wouldn’t. These comments that you’re referring to are the equivalent of a throwaway comment at the match. People dissecting those comments after the event and then, weirdly, accusing people of being “cunts” are the ones that need to grow up, mate.
I didn’t see any comments referring to Nuno as “pathetic”, so I cant comment on that. But Jota was not my “scapegoat”. He wasn’t playing well at the time and I called it, which I am entitled to do. You regularly slate Traore (the earlier pages of this thread being a perfect example) yet draw a line in the sand when others do the same thing to Costa? - despite most of the “FFS Costa” comments that you refer to being nothing more than the Internet messageboard equivalent of a few moans and groans from the stands at the ground when he gives the ball away.
I’ve seen some horrific double standards in my time but this thread is pushing it to a new level - fair play
Maybe we should just ban the matchday thread all together and have a reasoned debate once it’s all done and dusted?
