Transfer Speculation Thread 2014/15

I have been sure for some time that this would happen. The stumbling block was always that Leicester City wanted it to be a loan deal, but thankfully it appears it has been sorted out.

Just had a quick look, Wood's record overall isn't actually that great to be fair.

Had a couple of decent but unspectacular loans at Blues and Brighton before his good spell at Millwall but other than that he's been pretty underwhelming everywhere else.

Better option than Clarke but not sure he's really going to be the sort to take Wolves up a level, could potentially be a Championship Jake Cassidy.

KJ was his gaffer at Millwall and seemed to get a lot out of him with probably lesser players around him than we have at the moment.

You have got to have more options up front then playing one up every game. That would be madness.

Many a team play the same system week in week out. Chelsea, Arsenal, Munich, Barcelona. All one up front without fail

Jake Cassidy did wonders in a wank Tranmere team before floundering in a far superior Wolves team.

Wonders is pushing it. He scored a few before Christmas then went on a dreadful streak. Hasn't recovered since.

Didn't Wood have a mental scoring spell when he first joined Leicester?

Like how Wood had a good spell at Millwall, carried it to Leicester with him but has now ended up with an overall record of 1 in 4 for them?

With Nugent there Wood has never had a prolonged spell in Leicester's team though.

Surely that should be a criticism of him rather than excuse for him? Can't even displace Dave Nugent, tragic.

Sometimes is a perfect time to pick up a player, one who has slightly lost his way and still has something to prove playing for a coach who got the most out of him at a previous club.

Nugent has scored 50 goals in about 140 games for the Foxes. Pretty impressive, and more so when you bear in mind that he is barely on speaking terms with the manager.

1 in 3 or thereabouts, hardly breaking records is he.

Nugent has always been first choice there and they've mainly played one up front for ages. It's not necessarily the player's fault that they can't get in the team.

Wood has scored a few important goals for Leicester.
