Transfer Speculation Thread 2014/15

There's a rumour doing the rounds up here that we're trying to sign David Goodwillie on loan. :jpshakehead:

We can't loan players from outside England until January so thankfully that should be a non starter.

Sky reporting we've signed Danny Graham on a one month loan. I cannot see him coming to sit on the bench, so I expect 442 against Forest

It wouldn't surprise me at all if Dicko and Sako miss the Forest game given that they are only expected to arrive back in England on Thursday.

Agreed. Graham would suit out style far better I reckon, he's a decent footballer

It appears Kenny Jackett was at the Abbey Stadium on Friday evening for the Cambridge v Northampton game.

Not too sure what that is all about. The only standout player for Cambridge is the forward Kwesi Appiah (incidentally on loan from Crystal Palace). He's had a couple of excellent loan spells with United but not done anything anywhere else. It's pushing it a bit to think he'd be up to the job in the Championship, but can't imagine Kenny would be looking at anyone else, although there could be a hidden gem with Northampton of course.

Anyone got any thoughts?

The Northampton goal scorer Friday night Ivan Toney also scored against Wolves in the league cup and was excellent on the night. Maybe KJ saw something in the youngster.

Ivan Toney is very highly rated. We wont be the only club sniffing around him.

Wouldn't be such a shocker if it read "In England I didn't make any friends in the team"...saying "you don't" means you speak for everyone which is obviously wrong.

He's not pulled up any trees for Molde either fwiw,I'll be surprised if Molde puts up the money to buy.

Could that just be a language / translation error? English not being his first language he may have meant I

Could be,mostly because I fail to see what's in it for Sig to come down on Wolves (and the players) in his situation.I don't know if this interview was in Icelandic/Norwegian/English or translated.
We tend to use "you don't" quite a bit when we're actually talking about something "I don't" do,if it's not about something specific. That's why I think it could be something misunderstood. :)

With news that Manchester City will look for a new loan club to take Bruno Zuculini off their hands in January, would Wolves be an option?

Northampton Town today rejected a six figure offer from Wolves for Ivan Toney, I hope we go back with an offer that all parties find acceptable.

I think you have to give people the benefit of the doubt when they don't speak English as there first language
