Ticket Prices 2021-22

probably still going through the pile of complaint letters and sooo many are saying "But surely Vincent you are spoiling us with these ticket prices below £40, please increase them"
Or too busy with sorting* out the tickets they've just auto renewed a few days before the deadline.

*by sorting I mean sending me a rubbish email saying can you email the ticket office? BTW here's the ticket office email address that I could have just forwarded your query to...

You have to remember how low my current expectations for the club are.

I had visions of this dragging on for ages, or me having to chase them for money, or them inadvertently cancelling the renewal and locking me out of renewing altogether, I'll take it being fixed even if it shouldn't have happened in the first place.

Not a mistake though is it? Its an automated system, so everyone who didn't opt out in 2019 for auto renew will be automatically renewed.

Before the deadline will be to ensure Banking details are the same. So say Dan had moved banks since 2019, the auto renew on the DD would have bounced back. Now imagine that happening on deadline day...renewal of ST doesnt go ahead and by the time its settled (with 2 days remember over the weekend when the banks will have their feet up) there is a chance the seat has been passed onto someone on the waiting list (no idea how quick Wolves would move on that front though)

The auto renew is annoying and maybe a little reminder from the club for those who didn't opt out would be good but it wasn't a mistake.

The first payment doesn't come out until late August (I think) and they send details of the arrangement through showing all the details so it's not like it'd fail on Saturday and the renewal would be cancelled.

More to do with them requesting the DD authorisation from your bank than taking the payment. 3 working days will be to cover any issues and ensure the person's ticket is renewed, that will just be the programme doing what its meant to do.

Not sure the programme is set up correctly then, there's a deadline for a renewal and so any auto renewal should have been in line with that. Sorting out the logistics of the DD would have been completed well before the first payment.

It's also a little shady auto renewing 2 years since any direct debit was originally set up.

Presuming previous auto renews were done in a similar way (no clue on this but I can see why a 3 day earlier window is put on.) Also flip it, as its on auto renew whats stopping them doing it on Day 1 of the window opening, as far as the software for this is concerned, approval to renew has been given . So have they built in a longer window to allow people, who have remembered of course, a chance to back out

As for the shady bit, probably but thats what an auto renew does. Put on here yesterday, I was done for a subscription on Premier Sports last year after failing to remember I had even take it out. I got an email from them to tell me the subscription was sorted and they had done the renewing 3 days before sending that. Thats shady and they refused to cancel and refund.

The only thing I would aim at the club in this instance is not sending out a reminder when the details were released to say if you paid by DD last time and kept the auto-renew option, the ticket will be renewed on the 27th July. No clue if they have done that before, so standard behaviour from them (and matching all the other companies that use auto renews options)

Yes, it's odd that they didn't set auto renewal to go on day 1 of the window, just feels like an arbitrary data has been used?

There should have been some communication about, making it open and transparent to people for something agreed to 2 years ago would have resolved this. It would just have been better customer care for us legacy fans....

I think the date makes sense, just in terms of sorting any issues out that may pop up

100% they should have done a courtesy email or included something in the article when they released the pricing info and should certainly be raised with them. If enough (probaby 15) contact the club they will make sweeping changes to the process...
Like a lot of companies that use an auto system they go along with the "not for us to remember as you have already told us you want this again"

Issues can be sorted after the deadline though? There's plenty of time before the first payment is made.

Anyway, its a pretty minor inconvenience for me as I am renewing (just not via DD). Its just poor customer comms that could have been solved by a line in an email saying the deadline to change from Direct Debit was 3 days ahead of the actual deadline.

Depends how quickly Wolves move from the deadline to contacting people on the waiting list. 3 days seems a decent and small enough amount of time to highlight issues and have them resolved before the deadline hits, rather than after it. That to me makes sense.

So for me, the only error is on the comms side of thing, the processing etc has gone as it should.
