Ticket Prices 2021-22

Are Charlotte expecting big attendances?
I'm not sure. There are certainly way more advertisements around the city for the club than I was expecting when I moved back up here. People are definitely excited, but that could just be the newness of the thing and the enthusiasm could well wear off after a season (not helped by the fact that expansion clubs have to get a lot of things right at the first time of asking in order to avoid being absolutely terrible during that first season).

My guess is that prices are high because an American's frame of reference for outdoor sports is typically the NFL, and those ticket prices are, shall we say, bordering on crimes against humanity. Which is to say, the ownership groups in MLS know they can get away with it.

Giving him a Pat on the back for increasing prices is funny. So what does he have to do to not get a pat on the back? Increase them by 30% overnight?

I’m fine with the price for me in the NB, but they can’t just keep increasing them from here on in (even though I’ll still pay…)

Paying nearly £650 for the Steve Bull is banter though, surely everyone would move if they could?. Still for the life of me can’t work why nothing was done to it over the last year. The return on investment is a load of bollocks. It needs doing at some point so why not when it was empty and easier to do

So an MLS season ticket is more expensive than one for a Prem side...

Feel free to make whatever jokes come to mind, as even I know that's fucking ridiculous. Although I suppose MLS sides can't count on away fans in the same way, but still. Yikes.
American sport and entertainment in general is more expensive than here. A Broadway full price ticket costs more than one in the West End for instance. Remember the pound has weakened by about 30% versus the dollar over the last decade or so

I am going to be paying £100 more for my season ticket in the Steve Bull upper next season which is a decent sized increase. The issues with the stand have been done to death but needless to say it is shite in the concourse area and to get in and out - plus the lack of legroom - I have a great seat though fairly near the front right on the half way line so I don't want to move behind the goal as I love the view - and moving to the same area of the Billy Wright is going to cost north of £700 now which is mad.

Oh yeah, no doubts there. But still a tough pill to swallow looking at my bank account.

Yep I get the views are decent. The answer is just fix the stand though isn’t it? If they don’t want to knock it down fine, make the neccessary improvements to not take 30 mins to get in and be able to buy food/drink (making more money).

My parents have got top dollar tickets in the Billy Wright. They’re dead central 2/3s of the way up. Not best pleased about the extent of the rise but given they don’t want to sit anywhere else then they are going to have to suck it up.

Will have to give this some thought now - have increased the over 65's by more to bring the ratio into line with others, but also given us a choice of defering for a year (presumably with no loss of status for the year after, though that's not clear until you email them & they detail the conditions).

Realistically the ticket price is not my biggest cost as travel & overnight stays (when I can't get back the same day by train or can't be arsed to drive both ways) are a bigger investment.

Have a bit of time to consider & not surprised that they have done this.

It does seem shortsighted, new stand more corporate seats too, more income. Add in non matchday income restaurant, conferencing et al and its all contributing to the bottom line.

They haven't had time to rebuild a stand during the period of zero attendance, and the complications of the last 18 months would've only made it more difficult.

Yep, couldn't just start building at the click of a finger as a lot of planning and organisation would be involved plus at the time nobody thought it would be going on for this length of time.

Not forgetting also that a year or so ago during lockdown construction projects were all suspended

Construction was never suspended, not across the board.

I imagine 18 months pure construction period would've been pretty tight on it's own. But then you're adding in at least 6 months before that to get planning permission and have your prestart conditions discharged.

If they'd had plans to start something last summer after the season they maybe could've dragged that forward to March, maybe. Depends where they were in terms of procurement.

I just don't think they see a new stand as an investment that is right at this time. It is likely that they are acutly aware that it will produce little return on outlay is creating little appetite for the redevelopment. It won't increase the revenue significantly enough to outweigh the investment. It could be that its proving more difficult than they had hoped, Councils, adjacent landowners etc its not straight forward and all come at a cost issue.

They may be looking to revisit this when we 'are more successful' (I can dream) in reality I think that the redevelopment of the ground is dead and that small corner stands will be in the only investment at least in the short to medium term.

Mark is right in terms of time frame, 6 months is choppy to go through from design to agree costs and put a shovel in the ground. We won't have ready made plans.

My personal belief is that they looked into it and a combination of little return and difficulty in dealing with the Council in terms of expectations stopped it dead in the tracks.

Can't see any option to change seats. Anyone know if you can ring/email? Or is it perhaps my seat or no seat :/

There's usually a window for it after renewals.

Cheers. Seems an odd order of doing things ha.

Gah, I dunno what to do. I don't want to sit in the Steve Bull any more. Everything about it pisses me off and it's a lot of money to be pissed off every game.

Have sent an email. See if they reply.

Your options to move will be very different depending on how many and who renews.

If they let you move now, you'll be on a front row or corner of the stand. You do it at the start of August you'll have the choice of the few sth's who don't renew and therefore a better view

Gold and Silver Away Season Tickets:- £60.
In order to retain the integrity of the scheme a minimum usage policy of 75% for league matches will apply.
Should you not purchase a ticket for at least 75% of league matches then you may no longer be eligible to renew your away season ticket.

Took the plunge and renewed my membership the other day for me and my boys.

I figured it's the last season my eldest will be able to claim u12 pricing and both of them have a renewed interest in watching football because of the Euros.

Lockdown had all but killed their interest in football, it went from watching it all the time to absolutely nothing.
