Things that make you SAD thread.

Holy cow, that's terrible. My thoughts are with you and your mate's partner.
Thanks mate . . . it's a bit better now, with the slow passing of time.

My eldest daughter got married (again) a couple of weeks ago, which does tend to put your faith, again, in human nature.

Wedding was delayed for quite a while due to COVID restrictions but they finally managed to hold it once the guest limit was finally raised to 30.

Really sorry to hear that, condolences to you and your family.

really sorry to hear that mate. Thankful she was able to be with her family.
take care.

Really sorry to hear this UKY - as said by others at least she was at home with loving family rather than in an impersonal hospital.

Nothing to add just my heartfelt sympathy

Really sorry to hear your news Ray... My thoughts are with you and your family, mate. Drop me a message if you need to "chat"

Thanks for all the kind words and thoughts. Truly blessed to be on a forum as great as this with so many wonderful people!!
Arrangements have been made for 11th May which coincides with the burial of my dad.
I'll be back home soon.
Hopefully some restrictions will be lifted I desperately would like a pint!

If you are back in the UK after the 12th April you can have a pint in the rain. 17th May for one indoors.

My wife's mum has just passed away. My family have known her since we moved to Northallerton, 2 doors down, in 1967,
I've known her since 1981 when San and I first started seeing each other. She was a strong, fiery and determined woman, a real, old fashioned Matriarch!
She was diagnosed with Alzheimer's about 10 years ago and it has been awful to see her leave us mentally and watch her waste away physically, especially for Sandra who, despite being the youngest of 9 children, has borne the burden of being the "principle carer". She was reduced to a shadow of her former self and, in some ways, it is a blessing that she went peacefully with Sandra by her side.

RIP Jean

sorry to hear that matey. i know your family are going through a lot right now. do be taking care.

Sorry to hear that Mike, thoughts are with you and Sandra

Sorry to hear that, fella. Alzheimer's is a horrible thing.

Listening to Tony Blair on the radio and realising what we have thrown away over the last 10 years.
