Sheff Utd setting their stall out for next season, £500k for Ched Evans. He's scored five goals all season for Chesterfield and got 13 in 67 last time Sheff Utd were in this league. He's never been up to this level, why bother doing it when you know the PR is going to be horrific.

Hopefully they give us the same for EEL.

Was working in Sheffield yesterday and spoke to a big Utd fan - they reckoned they're resigning him so he doesn't sue them for wrongfully terminating his contract now his conviction has been overturned. (Because they know they'd lose)

They wouldn't lose that case. When they terminated his contract he had been convicted of a gross misconduct criminal offence.

They can tell themselves whatever they need to cope

Arsenal are considering a €15 million (£13m) bid for Sporting and Portugal goalkeeper Rui Patricio, according to RMC Sport. Which you would imagine makes Emiliano Martínez a transfer possibility for Wolves.

2 and 2 making five! Given our uncertainty at the moment that needs sorting before we get anyone. Martinez would be high on my shortlist of keepers to come here and be a big improvement, the game v QPR aside.

Defoe apparently off to Bournemouth for £130k per week! Good old plucky little Bournemouth...

Beşiktaş President confirms that his club have exercised their option to extend Talisca's loan from SLB for a second season.

Fikret Orman: "Anderson Talisca will remain with us another season, we've made the loan extention official."

Real Madrid have signed 16 year old Vinicius Junior from Flamengo for £38m.

Aren't they due for a Barcelona style ban on signing youth talent soon, or did I imagine that?

Brighton looking to bring former Paul Lambert signing Yacouba Sylla back to the Premier league.

Rumours that Newcastle United have been given permission to speak to Tammy Abraham.

PortuGOAL looks at ten players from Portugal’s feeder clubs who impressed this season and could become a great bargain buy for attentive foreign clubs this summer.

Konan, Vitória de Guimarães, Left-Back

The Ivorian began the season playing in the club’s B squad before being thrusted into action by Pedro Martins in December. He and his opposite number on the right Bruno Gaspar gave Vitória de Guimarães, one of the best full-back duos in Liga NOS. Konan averaged 1.9 tackles, 1.8 interceptions and 2.2 clearances per game. He was recently called up to the Ivory Coast national team for the first time.
