The Things You Are HAPPY About Thread.

I wasn't quite sure where to stick this, but as I am happy that it is getting a fair bit of media attention today I could probably stick it here...

The lack of understanding of the condition from some health professionals is shocking. The way my wife was treated while trying to get the treatment/medication she needed was disgusting. One doctor, who clealry didn't think hyperemesis existed, put his hands together in prayer and said 'forgive me God' while writing out her prescription. Even when she was hospitalised during her 2nd pregnancy, it was clear that the staff didn't have any understanding of hyperemesis.

Time is a great healer. My first marriage ended in 1996 and the following 21 years have been the best of my life.
Life can be a funny bugger.

I've just realised that the $#@! hit the fan and my marriage collapsed 3 years ago today.

Seems like an odd thing to feel happy about but I'm pleased how things have worked themselves out - I'm so much happier without her and have a totally different life now, and with the exception of only seeing my kids 50% of the time, all the changes are for the better.

Never would have thought I'd have typed this when it all kicked off but time truly is a great healer.

Good for you. I got out two years ago and have recently met a new girl who I'm very happy with. Early days yet but if you'd have asked me 8 months ago I would have denied this could ever happen again. So yes, Out Of Darkness Cometh Light in more ways than one.

After a somewhat successful launch of the new VW SUV here in the US, my contract is about to expire with the company that hired me to help launch the project, instead of letting me go to find a new job, they are tabling a new contract for supplier quality or supplier development! :)

Excellent.

Happy? Hmmm...not sure but I've just had a phone call from my specialists secretary. I was due to have my ankle clean up / removal of one of the pins at the start of May but they have had a cancellation and are bumping me up the list to get it done and the operation is scheduled for next Friday, 17th March.

It needs doing and was going to happen soon but now it gets done sooner!

Gotta be happy - coincidentally timed with the international break. Gives you time to recover :icon_biggrin:

Aye Warren...Miss Wolves away vs Fulham and then onto the international break!

Something to brighten and lighten the moment of these past 2 weeks. There's going to be a baby in the family. Fuck me, no not mine!!!! I'm going to be a Great Aunt :). Great Aunt Sue..... it's getting no pocket money if it grows up calling me GAS for short.

Today is a happy day :)

Congrats on the addition to the family, but on the second post - why?

This place still needs random posts to deflect from the depression/anger/acceptance of what we can't affect

This is a usual thing Parkin, surely you have gotten the cycle by now.

I am quite emotional! Just got back from Mini's school musical where he was playing the lead of Galileo Figaro in We Will Rock You at a combined St Peters and St Edmunds production. It was absolutely sensational and the sense of pride I feel even as a lowly step dad is incredible. They were all so damn good. It was brilliant and I think I have a little bit of a tear in my eye!

No need to play yourself down there Pad, you should be proud.

Absolute sell out and the crowd was brilliant. Everyone went apeshit at the end. You don't get things like that every day.

Delighted mate and you should not downplay the work you have done. Well done.
