The Things You Are HAPPY About Thread.

Congrats Wombat!

I didn't think the other thread was the place to discuss it but here is so....

I am happy to announce that me and my girlfriend Chelsey are engaged and this makes me quite happy.

Congrats to Wombat and especially James.

Cheers Bear and a huge well done to Wombat on the Job.

Congrats to both James and Wombat

Creating visuals for an outdoor client space adjacent to the casino.

Oh really?

That's interesting.
I have a mate who develops visuals for organisations before they develop shop interiors, but he uses some mad software that knits together photos to come up with a virtual 360' picture.
He gave me one for my wedding present. the far right edge matches up exactly with the far left edge.... Mindbending!

Here's his website.
Check him out.

Is your stuff something similar?

Not quite; I create most of my work digitally, sometimes placing the work into a photo of the existing site but more often than not modelling everything from the ground up. Naturally, you can find examples on my website: http://www.click3d.co.uk/

Nice People.

It's amazing how we go on about stranger danger, the internet, & generally how vile so many people can be.

I've met some really cracking people off this forum, & seen boundless generosity and kindness towards myself, & many others, with advice, and so much more.

It's highlighted by a text I got off a forum member earlier this week being a stellar person :icon_wink:, and also on another (non-football) forum I visit where someone made me aware alain de botton was sending personally signed book plates of his new book to people who tweeted him. I replied that I wasn't on twitter, but thought it was a lovely thing to do. Got a pm from that person a few hours later with an email address to contact the publisher & get one.

It's a little thing, but lovely for them to do it.

People really are great.

The service I have received from the Guitar Amp and Keyboard centre. I ordered one guitar from them last week, and amazingly I was authorised to use some spare funds here to get a second one (THANKS SQUEEZE first up!!). I ordered a nice looking 7 string and was looking forward to it arriving when I got an email informing me that the guitar I wanted was a new 2014 model and stock wouldn't be in until April. Now, I have waited a LOT longer than that for guitars before. My ESP was an eight month wait for it to be built in their custom shop, and that then became ten when it got bumped back in the queue because one of the big endorsees was going on tour and needed about ten new guitars for the tour. So basically, I would have been happy to wait.

However, GAK emailed me and said they had a very similar guitar in stock but unfortunately it didn't quite meet my specification as it had a Floyd Rose rather than hard-tail bridge. I loved it and said yes please, at which point I realised the alternate was £100 more. GAK gave me the guitar at the same price as my original order, and followed it by pointing out that I now had three guitars and would I like a three guitar stand to keep them all nice and safe, which would be free. Stonking stuff. AND THEN, they paid for immediate FEDEX which means my guitar will be here tomorrow, all at their cost.

Unbelievable customer service, and I will use them for everything guitar-based that I can in future.

It is brilliant. So pleased really. No need for them to do it, as I would have been happy to wait (albeit slightly grouchy inside as I wanted the new 7 string here by the middle of next week if possible). To then give me the guitar stand on top was just wonderful stuff, and then the free Fedex was just Paddy=happiestcustomerintheworld.

Wish I had used them for some of the pedals I ordered. Still waiting for my tubescreamer....
