Well his dad lives/lived in Wolverhampton,so there's a connection,we were linked with him a couple of years ago, when he was rubbish,West Ham can have him, give their fans something else to moan at the porno dwarves about

Coming from bookies(Ladbrokes, I believe), so grain of salt and all that...

Wolves are now second favorites at 7/2 to sign Mario Balotelli on a free this summer, behind West Ham at 3/1.

He can play, but he's a liability - get ready for many other weird & spurious rumours

In fairness to him he has been very professional at Nice. But still not sure I'd want him and it would certainly create a small furor here.

Forgetting about the man himself it seems like I’m permanently drunk and or living in cloud cuckoo land with us being connected with such names. I cannot remember another close season I’ve felt so excited about - World Cup, release of next season’ fixtures and the potential transfer activity

Hopefully not true. Exactly the sort of signing we should be avoiding. A player who doesn't give two shits about the club he's signing for and is only interested in himself.

Mario can fuck off, he isn't very good, never has been.

Not that there's any basis whatsoever in the story.

I don’t know - he’s had an excellent record in France and helped his team do extremely well, and had no issues that I’m aware of in two years. Maybe he’s grown up a bit.

I'm leaving aside his character, I don't like him as a footballer. Never have done.

He has the ability to be a very good player, he has shown that at different clubs or in certain games. But everything has to be in place for him pretty much, with the game based around him and allow him to be a luxury.

That isn't this team, and how we are set up under Nuno.

Plus he'd just be far too much hassle, more than it is worth.

Mario is Roger Johnson playing up front, a guy that will single handedly destroy the harmony we have built. No ta.....next

He's exactly the sort of player you can imagine West Ham signing and we should let them. Awful, awful, awful attitude and turns up for about one match in ten. Has a good goal record at Nice to be fair but he is far too temperamental to assume that success will carry over to wherever he goes next.

I think his nick name super mario needs to be changed..

I tend to think that if you accept he's good enough (which I don't) he'd be a risk to team spirit and Nuno wouldn't take a risk. Having said that when you get into bigger named players with reputation they are all ego maniacs (well mostly).

Other possible forward target Vincent Aboubakar scored for Cameroon today (albeit against Kuwait).
