Think it will be a case of who has appointed the best manager between us & Leicester.
Come out with either a draw or win Sunday, I would fancy us to make up 5pts on Leicester over the rest if the season, feeling RVN might be another Lampard so definitely doable if Pereira can come in running . But if lose sunday think it will be too much.

Everything I've read about his hot-headedness and willingness to not only criticise his players publicly but his bosses too.

I've not seen any more than this but it's not exactly great is it? He's like Mourinho but without a filter.

Oh yeah, I saw that but it didn't bother me unduly, especially as there's not much context to the clip. Wouldn't say it's worse than what Mourinho has done dozens of times.

Being a bit of a hot-head isn't the end of the world depending on how it manifests itself. No reason why that means his players will be ill-disciplined?

already posted that clip with the line “all aboard the Victor train”.

Get yourself on the platform and enjoy the ride…

Just looking at the fixtures and after leicester they're pretty bad until March time.

We have some decent fixtures from March onward, so I think march to the end of the season will be key. If we can build some momentum you never know.

We desperately need to pick up points over the next few months though.

I think we have to beat leicester this weekend

A point wouldn't be bad.

Basically VP just needs to pick up points with regularity, which GON was incapable of. Turning L after L into D would be a start.

I think we may well draw with Leicester and win the other two December games

Yeah, it would be must win with GON and the baggage which comes with that, with the new manager and the hope of an improvement in January then it's mustn't lose for me.

I just want to see some green shoots of being able to dig in and preserve a clean sheet/lead rather than the usual capitulation we've been used to

Yeah that's fair enough, a win is very Important, a loss means we're a fair behind them, but not insurmountable. I'm not expecting it to be pretty but that's OK at this stage.

So it's now a case of being better than Leicester and Ipswich (forget Southampton, deader than nu-metal) over 20 games. We get to play them each another time too.

You would think based on the last two games that we should be capable of that.

I would not celebrate 17th place and we put ourselves in a stupid hole but I'll take it given the alternative is playing in the Championship.

Certainly I'm more optimistic than a week ago but still have a sneaking feeling it's gunna be a roller coaster.

It will be a roller coaster as we have a run of tough games and that will probably mean we are in or very close to the relegation zone for a good while yet. At least there is hope now which wasn’t the case after Ipswich when it seemed likely we’d keep the idiot who got us into this mess. Without the two wins our chances of survival would be hanging by a thread.

Yeah, we still could really do with points against a fragile Spurs and then at home to Forest, who are flying but you still naggingly feel it can't last.

After that it's Newcastle (A), Chelsea (A), Arsenal (H), Villa (H) and Liverpool (A) which is a genuine pig of a run.

If Cunha has his ban alongside those fixtures then it honestly won't make a great deal of difference. Villa is the only notionally winnable one, all things being equal.

Had we lost these two games that Vitor has won, I think we were dead.
