He's over promoted, not totally clueless. We're not in the realm of having £3m to spend on a striker and using it all on Joe fucking Mason.

I go with what you are saying and I am not going to make a big claim on anything except to note that apparently we have a South American scout - cannot find a name though. Of course, we all know that the major South American clubs are also pushing for their young players to join PL clubs for big fees. I reckon Hobbs managed the scouting process but didn´t do any groundwork.

I suspect that Wolves like a number of clubs do not actually have their own specific scouts in places like South America but access networks facilitated by, say, Jorge Mendes connections, to sift through players, just like the Meupiyou link.

Cheers. It´s certainly an interesting set of questions about who is involved, who does what and how we get our next generation to embed and/or sell on. There´s far too much simplistic nonsense out there on the internet about this. IMHO.

Might have been different with us but Retegui seemed to have been well scouted too by us and has worked out really well in Europe. So I do feel like whoever is leading that scouting area credit as only really Enso González who has struggled, and he is still only 19 so not calling him a failure as still 4 years off that crucial 23 age of average Prem maturity.
