We are in the earliest mode of Man City under the owner that hired Eriksson. We have the funds but need to build up the desire for the people we want to come here. A good start to the season and getting some initial players in will help.

Aye. The danger is that we overpay on wages to get players in that are good enough for that 7-12 phase, but not good enough for the fight for the top six, and then too costly to sell. It's a really difficult balance we're facing atm

Patricio 7 days to reverse decision are over. O Jogo claims he will join Wolves.

Record is saying Bruno Fernandes, William and Gelson Will terminate contracts today.

Felix Bejimo going to Werder Bremen for €3M.

I’ve been told Raúl Jiménez is having medical in Copenhagen over the weekend.

Don’t know anything about him other than what Wikipedia just told me

Prostitute scandal jolts Mexico football team ahead of FIFA World Cup 2018
According to a gossip magazine, nine members of Mexico’s FIFA World Cup 2018 squad partied with dozens of escorts at a private compound in Mexico City last Saturday.
Members of the Mexico national football team held a farewell party with around 30 prostitutes before the team travelled to Europe ahead of the World Cup, reports said Tuesday.

According to the TVNotas gossip magazine, nine members of Mexico’s World Cup squad partied with dozens of escorts at a private compound in Mexico City last Saturday following the team’s 1-0 win over Scotland at the Aztec Stadium.

The magazine published grainy images of players arriving at the party under the headline “The true farewell of the Tri!”.

However, Mexican officials said the players involved will not be sanctioned because they attended the party in their free time.
Guillermo Cantu, general secretary of the Mexican Football Federation, said the players would not be punished because “they have not missed training.”

“A free day is a free day and those are the risks that one runs with freedom,” Cantu was quoted as saying.

Among the players in attendance were goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa and Benfica striker Raul Jimenez.

Los Angeles Galaxy brothers Jonathan and Giovani dos Santos also attended, along with defender Carlos Salcedo and midfielder Marco Fabian, who both play for Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany.

The Mexico team is already in Copenhagen, where they are preparing for a friendly against Denmark on Saturday before heading on to Russia. The controversy echoes similar scandals which have swirled around the team in recent years.

Well, he currently plays for Benfica, so I'm not 100% why he'd be in Copenhagen if it's for us.

He's in the Mexico World Cup squad who are playing Denmark tomorrow in Copenhagen.

As for whether he's any good or not, I honestly don't know a great deal about him. He doesn't seem to have the most prolific of goal scoring records, and (up until last season when he played 40+ games) he seems to have been a bit of a bit-part player - but maybe that's not too surprising when you look at the clubs he's been at (Athletico Madrid & Benfica). Think we need to trust Nuno & Co on this one.

On a separate subject; I was just thinking everything has gone quiet on Pele & Afobe.

edit: What Kenny said!

According to our newspaper, the Nuno Espírito Santo team, which has secured a return to the Premier League this season, is expected to pay a high amount for the loan, in the order of five million euros, being also responsible for the full payment of the salary 9 incarnated sweater

Catchy nickname.

My guess

Pele - Timmy II was right and we are not interested in him
Afobe - Will go once we have got the 1 or 2 forward striker targets in.

So we look like we are going to sign a centre forward who sleeps with hookers and a keeper who the Birmingham Mail quotes his wife as saying cracks one off before games. It's been a classy day.

Am bored we still haven't been linked either a signing or a loan for God yet, come on Fosun get your fingers out!

The Mexican press is incredibly unreliable about their national team. This sort of story crops up every World Cup year.

To be frank, I don't believe a word of it.
