The Rugby Thread

Surprised at that decision - but it is clearly the IRB rules so well, I guess hard to argue. It just seems to me that it really wasn't that harsh. If it had been given against Wales, I would have been peeved.

It's roulette with Peyper when it comes to a decision, I'll wait to see how the rules/interpretations are applied by competent officials before passing judgement. Peyper makes Alain Rolland look like Nigel Owens.

Please don't mention that French Irishman. After four years I am still fuming

Messy from England this half, though Fiji have been disrupting their game plan well.

A long as we get the win then won't be upset at a hard game first up - though Fiji have just missed an opportunity to cut the lead to 7.

Game not won yet

And another penalty to Fiji. This one has been converted. If they had taken all their chances Fiji could be ahead.

Not could. Would be. England are just sloppy. However Fiji will offer up chances as they are sloppy too.

Breathing space for England. I think we will have to play better than this if we are to beat Australia and Wales.

Brown did well not to knock that on.

Brilliant determination by Brown to get that over the line. Play like this and Australia and Wales will give you a much tougher night.

If Fiji play like this against Wales expect a tough night.

What are Fiji doing now? Lunacy to keep trying to throw it now. Matter of time for the bonus point.

Will be a win tonight. but can't see England going that deep into this competition if they continue to be this sloppy in their play.

The better sides will exploit the mistakes being made

Bonus point by a matter of millimetres!

What a tap tackle it was to stop Brown getting his hat trick.

I am sorry, but that is a fucking disgrace. No fucking way that was a try.

One game, opening night always going to be tough but early to make through away comments like that.
