England wooden spoon edging towards a possibility...

Cracking game in Paris, nice to see England playing well and some decent stuff. Real pity about the pen try and yellow at the end of the half.

Shockingly inconsistent officiating France pulled the maul down at least twice but get away with it.

Brilliant game, pity England couldn't hold on, tbf they had enough chances at the end to consolidate it.

Absolutely brilliant tournament.

Definitely a bit of a post-mortem needed for England, but glad they came back and showed a bit of fight tonight and some quality to go with it.

Yeah England the better side but that sin bin and penalty try is where the game swung, weird officiating for both teams really

Watching with my mate, we were talking about the number of tries in this competition, over 100! When I started watching the 6 (5) nations you were lucky to get 2 or 3 in a game

I mean if you score 6 tries away from home you should coast to victory. Missed conversions proved very costly too.

France conceded 7 tries in each of their last two matches .
They have problems.

Tonight shouldn’t cover up what’s ultimately been a car crash 6 nations for England. Conceded on average 30 points per game if you remove the 7 point conceded against wales who were in disarray it’s up to 36 v the other 4 nations.

Won 1 Lost 4 is obviously a car crash for England. Covering it up by saying it was a great losing performance against France is the sort of thing we come up with in Cardiff. Both sides are REALLY bad at the moment in defence. England can score points, which is why they are better than Wales (a limbo bar).

Steve Borthwick reign has given England loads of worsts and firsts, worst ever home defeat to France and Ireland, first time we’ve lost to Italy and Fiji, the first time we’ve lost 4 matches in the 6 nations. Most ever points conceded in a 6 nations.
Probably the worst showing since the 1980’s.
He’s not going anywhere soon so it’s pointless argument but I think England will continue on a rollercoaster ride under him but never actually achieve anything tangible.
