The Rugby Thread

Difficult to point the finger on what has gone wrong, it’s the same team and set up which was so good against the ABs and other so that cannot be forgotten. The 6-2 bench spilt has been shown up, this should probably be the end of Ford too.

Last week a one off but to do it 2 weeks on the spin is a real concern, both games haven’t even been remotely close as England have been outplayed and out coached 2 weeks running.
Ford not finding touch twice with 2 penalties is unforgivable and lets the opposition off the hook.
You won’t win any test match making 13 handling errors in a game.

Not sure what the cause is but last 2 games we have looked weak mentally, with basic skills not the standard you would expect.
Also We are really poor under the high ball, yes its a bit of a lottery but we rarely win any, cant be just luck.
The problem of not turning good pressure into points seems to have been around forever.

Yep constant handling errors in the final 22 just lets the opposition off the hook.
As for SB second time under his tenure a 6 nations side has picked up a record win at Twickenham.
Intensity just wasn’t there absolutely no response second half either.

Autumn was a false dawn. That was dismal.
There’s a lot of players who are early in their careers, as tough as it was today it doesn’t mean we should write them off, they’ll had learnt a lot.

I’m all for writing off the older players who were shite - Ford, Steward and Cowan-Dickie will have to do a load to come back from that.

Not writing them off but the Autumn Internationals raised expectations and today we were error strewn. Chalk and cheese.
