The Rugby Thread

Ref allowing Wales to get away with loads of penalties and time wasting imo.

Fiji deserved to win. But look in the book as you always say.

It was a great game, Wales did well in the first half of second half but Fiji will rue a few missed chances.

Lucky, lucky Wales. Seen it so many times the last few years. A one score game and they get the breaks.
Exciting match all the same.

How wales have won I’ll never know probably down to Fiji set piece kicking being dreadful.
Win is a win but pretty much outplayed in most facets of the game.

It’s a bonus point win over a rival for qualification. Should be through comfortably now.

We are still shit though.

Didn’t Wales lose to Georgia not so long ago?

Will create a very interesting scenario if Fiji beat Australia then Australia beat Wales. Not inconceivable at all.

Tbf to Wales despite being on the back foot for large parts, they managed the game very well.

Australia are the wild card. They have been awful all year so god knows. Wales and Australia 99.99999% will qualify now.

the fact that one of Australia, England or Wales will Semi finalist maybe 2 of them is a joke. All 3 have been dreadful for the last 2 years, Australia even longer.
What we can all be assured of is they’ll be pounded in the SF by one of the genuine contenders.

That’s why doing the draw over two years out (yet again) has proved a FUCKING STUPID idea.

It produced a ridiculous group of death in 2015 because Wales were low in the rankings at draw time and miles better in the tournament.

Surely just do the draw about six months out. No idea why IRB don’t do this.

Organisation reasons apparently but that’s BS

Things to learn so far it’s been between 3 teams France, Ireland and SA. NZ are the weakest they’ve been probably ever going into a WC, Scotland are good at disposing the average crap like England, Wales etc but still a mile off the best 3.

Think that's fair but there's always a chance one of the big teams who've been crap for a while can put a run together and gain some momentum.
