The Rugby Thread

Obviously not watched it as I was asleep but that is a cracker of a result for England and should set up comfortable group qualification.

I think England’s recent disciplinary woes have come back to bite them and through no fault of their own. It seems officials are almost looking for an excuse to send an England player off.
I had to watch it in some dodgy stream as I couldn’t find it live on the TV.

I’ve not checked but I think englands pen count in that game was very low. The red card is what it is, can’t touch the head.

No more than 4-5 I think

Like I say - I haven’t seen it. Will try and watch a re run after breakfast. Just trying to understand the different outcome for Curry compared to the Argentinian player and I have no dog in the fight (as much as a Wales fan can where England rugby is concerned).

If you are still in Oz Tredders all the rugby World Cup is on Stan Sport. They have all the rugby union rights over here.

After the red, we only conceded 3 or 4 penalties and a couple of them were right at the end when the players were out on their feet.

The Argentina player was arguably more reckless but didn’t make contact directly with the head. Plus he was looking away which seems to be important 🤷🏻‍♂️

I'd have to see it again but thought he did contact the England players head?
Think with Currys, the mitigation side of it is, does wrap his arms? Which he does. Is his top half hinged forward? It was but maybe not enough. Only thing I can think of.

If that had happened in the Super League both players would have been removed from the field for a 15 minute concussion assessment and the likelihood is that neither would have been allowed back.
The red card offence I’m referring to.

Just too powerful for them being destroyed at the breakdown.
SA just doing what they’d do best pretty easy for them second half.

Scotland probably going out at GS again, world rugby should hang there heads for having the draw far to early.
Current Scotland squad paying the price for their predecessors being so shit for so long.

Superb work Fiji. So good to watch.

How have Wales got away without a yellow card there?
