I think you are being very harsh.

a) - it isn't a new tactic
b) - Italy went from a near sixty point dicking to being in the game with five minutes to go so it clearly worked
c) - It was England's responsibility to work out an answer to the question asked. In the end they did.

It was pathetic rugby, the culmination of a nasty northern european cult of thinking not losing is a good thing. Rugby is about winning and entertaining. That shite from today was truly disgraceful.
