Again they're hiding away from the real fact that the reason the incident occurred in the first place was because of a balls up line out. It would have been a scrum to so there's every chance they would have created another scoring chance.

Australia had scored 5 tries by then plus had another one disallowed for the most marginal of knock-ons, so they may well have got another scoring chance or at the very least worked their way in for a drop goal attempt.

I felt sorry for them after the game, but after all this bullshit and wailing fuck them, the ex-players and Laidlaw after the game have shown themselves up (calling for the TMO etc), its not as if they were going to win the competition, Argentina would have torn them a new one in the semi final.

They played Australia at the right time (is it a co-incidence that of the 4 teams who played a tough game the week before, 3 under-performed (Australia, France, Ireland) and Wales ran out of steam after 50 mins).

The all blacks tried to bully South Africa but they stood up and said fuck you and the aggression in that game was thundering, some of the clear outs were head on collisions at 90mph.

As you said, the All Blacks used everything in the arsenal to shut down the Boks, ridiculous quality from the bench and they just about had the experience to edge it.
