The Road to Russia 2018

Can't see him surviving this!

What a mess. Isn't this the reason (amongst many) Redknapp never got anywhere near the job?

Ask yourself why Allardyce has been set up this way. Because he's been at it for years. He's been earning personally off transfers for a long, long time.

Now if you think that's ethical for the England manager then that's up to you. Not for me though.

Now that I agree with. He's an amoral character that isn't a particularly good manager.

Does anyone think anybody surrounding wolves could be involved in this investigation. Corrupt agents. Portuguese players? Just a thought.

Or is it 6:40am and have a read into it wrong?

Whatever your views on Sam and the set up, it leaves him clinging on to his job somewhat.

The FA will not be happy with having to deal with this and comments that look dodgy won't sit well with them. Sam is going to have to do some serious work to keep his job. I would expect Gareth Southgate has been told to prepare for a caretaker role, just in case.

It is a slightly different level than showing someone how to use a stream (which is an act of piracy that defrauds the rights-holder of a small sum).

This is the man in the top job in England football immediately trying to take extra cash. However, in Sam's defence it does appear that he stated that any payment would have to be cleared by the FA.

The one where a little explaining may be in order is his specific comment about the Enner Valencia transfer. How, precisely, did the player come to West Ham "whole" if he was under third party ownership at Pachuca? Presumably, the third party involved didn't suddenly act like a charity so how were they compensated for giving up their economic rights, and by whom? The fact that this occurred at West Ham is bad news as well, as that club was right in the shit over third party ownership with Tevez and Mascherano, that led the FA to change the rules. There are point deductions on the FA statutes for this, and it is very badly viewed. Sam has questions to answer there, and so do Gold and Sullivan by the look of it.

Sam was rather fortunate that the BBC Panorama sting involved less backbone than a jellyfish. I'm not convinced the same will be the case with the Telegraph. My gut feeling is England will be looking for a new manager, and Southgate will be in charge for the next game.

Absolutely. The Football Association do not like controversy, particularly from one of their employees. Allardyce has a lot of explaining to do.

.

That is the key one......but if it damages the Porno twins, then top work by Sam indeed.

I cannot understand why Allardyce would want to get involved anyway. He is extremely well paid, and does he need the kind of money being quoted? Or was it just greed?

Either way, I am doubtful whether he can continue as England manager.

Absolutely. I'm fucking loving wet spam struggle this season. Shame, as I quite like Slaven, but him aside, I'd love to see them get relegated. Fucking hate those porno dwarf scumbags.

Different eras, but considering what Hoddle got sacked for I can't see Allardyce surviving.

I think it will all depend on what Allardyce says to the FA when he tells his side of the story.

With the stuff being caught on camera, not sure what he can say really.

One journalist has said Sam doesn't think what he has said is corrupt and that he "plans to" apologise to Roy (presume he still thinks Gary Neville should shut up and sit down)

The Hodgson stuff is on a parallel with Hoddle. Speech impediment versus disability, it is still mocking the afflicted. Then you add on top willingness to circumvent the third party ownership rules which the FA have outlawed for a decade and FIFA have now also made illegal in the game, and I can't see how he can survive. And the cherry on the icing is the willingness to receive payment that could end up being a conflict of interest (although I think he can defend that by saying he would have asked FA permission).

At least he can walk away and say he had a 100% record in charge of England.
