The Road To Germany 2024

Saka first choice wide right now surely which means a hell of a scrap for wide left.

Good scrap for CM too, can’t see how TAA gets dropped, Bellingham due back plus Rice.

Wales finally submit being down to 10 men Turkey only missed a penalty and had 2 goals chalked off by VAR

All over for Wales tonight 2-0 down, probably they’re as good as done in the group to will probably have to win all remaining games to stand a chance.

Do they get any kind of a back door through the Nations League? Can't remember how they did.

I know it's Ireland's best route (currently labouring to a win vs Gibraltar)

Came very much bottom in division A so I don’t think that offers a route I maybe wrong

Has TAA done well in these 2 games in midfield then? The FIFA in me loves it

Iirc we didn't face a shot against Malta, and we haven't faced a shot tonight. That's gotta be some kind of record?

We really are suoerb (and have been for a number of years) in qualifying and putting average opposition to the sword.

So easy to slip up if you mess about. I've seen us draw with these twice (under Sven and Schteve)

Just digging a bit I think 3 places go to a side from Div A,B,C due to the fact virtually everyone is good enough from div A to qualify Wales might still get a play off spot which is absurd considering they got 1 point from 6 games in the NL

Yes playoffs for 12 highest ranked nations from nations league who haven't qualified. 3 qualify from it.

3-0 in the end

England are past masters of disposing of sides of any lesser quality. Problem with Euros qualifies it’s a virtual procession.
That’ll get worse when UEFA eventually extend it 32 teams which they will.
By that point you can do away with qualifiers and just have an extended nations league with promotion and relegation between Div B & C acting as the qualifying.

Not sure what's the worst bit of action tonight.

- Switzerland 2-0 up at home to Romania. Get a penalty on 83 minutes. VAR says no (rightly). Still 2-0 on 90 mins. Draw 2-2.

- Israel conceding at home to Andorra and only just winning.

- Ireland giving James McClean his 100th cap. How.

- Norn Iron losing at home to Kazakhstan.

You are correct on James McClean - but I'd suggest Harry Maguire to you - how has he managed to be awarded 57 England caps ?

He just has a bigger reputation than deserved I suppose. Also the lack of decent CBs in England for quite a few years now.

Whoever signed off the Scotland game needs sacking. Hampden is a swimming pool.

Made life even harder for themselves now Scotland are ahead
