I can't see Ipswich getting 4 or 5 wins from us (H), Chelsea (A), Arsenal (H), Newcastle (A), Everton (A), Brentford (H), Leicester (A) and West Ham (H) as their final games.
Looks like Ipswich properly rode their luck too, 22 Bournemouth shots
And of course we'd also have to go on an 8 game losing run. Something I wouldn't put past Lage or GON but not happening with Pereira in charge.Even if Ipswich beat us on Saturday they have Chelsea, Arsenal and Newcastle as their next 3. It would be the most ridiculous of escapes. Extremely unlikely.
The Wolves way.If you absolutely want to catastrophise
I'm glad Ipswich won, no chance they'll catch us, but it keeps us honest.
More like 0.5 per cent
Stick a tenner on if you are worried
I agree but I thought there was no way Ipswich would win tonight.I can't see Ipswich getting 4 or 5 wins from us (H), Chelsea (A), Arsenal (H), Newcastle (A), Everton (A), Brentford (H), Leicester (A) and West Ham (H) as their final games.
Champions of Europe don't forget.Probably already been mentioned, but Man City are shorter odds. Likely more to do with loads of Manu fans putting bets down than anything else. You have to get you joy from somewhere when you're a glory hunter without the glory.
As far as we are concerned, it's done. You could see that with the the way they celebrated the other night. Bless West Ham fans for thinking it was just about us beating them.
Beaten by the 'Champions of the World' and the 'USA' in a different world. Sorry Alan!Champions of Europe don't forget.
And, yes, I did hear a rumour that they won the World Cup in 66! ;-)Beaten by the 'Champions of the World' and the 'USA' in a different world. Sorry Alan!![]()
Spoke to a Wolves fan this morning.
Interesting - he doesn't think Cunha will play tomorrow and he sees it as a season defining game. His opinion is - if they loose they're down!
I mean, as positive as I want to be, even with a Town win, it's still a huge ask from us.
Classic pessimistic football fan.
The might see a win by us at Bournemouth and be a bit worried, but that ignores the rest of our season which has seen us win just three other games and generally struggle to put positive results back to back. Our best run in that sense was 4 draws in a row in August/September.
It would be the mother of all turnarounds if we did it. Someone the other day on here was listing teams in PL history who have escaped situations like this in terms of points but (and I am guessing) I reckon those teams were generally of a better standard than we are now and had more wins under their belt across the season.
Wolves shouldn't be worried, but I guess you never know.
