The R.I.P. Thread

Shel Talmy 87, record producer, never heard of him? He produced you really got me by the kinks, and my generation by the who

I just name stuff people would have heard, if I’d said he produced the b side for the damneds third single none of you would any the wiser, I didn’t say it was all he’s known for

Denise Holstein 97, Auschwitz survivor.

She escaped being sent there when her parents were, because she was ill with diphtheria, and got sent to a care home for Jewish children who’s parents had been deported, aged 17 she was looking after 34 children in that home when all were taken to Auschwitz, on arrival she escaped death by listening to another prisoner who told her to ignore the crying child who’d travelled with her, all 34 children she was looking after died shortly after arrival.
As always one step further away from living history to just being history.

The Who fell out with him and entitled a B side 'Waltz for a Pig' dedicated to him.
I Can't remember the circumstances.

Vic Flick 87 guitarist, unless you’re a proper guitar geek you’ll have not heard of him, responsible for playing possibly the greatest/famous guitar riff in cinema history, yep he played the James Bond guitar riff.
