Comedian Duncan “chase me” Norvelle aged 66, one of those you’d forgotten about or thought had already died
I didn't think that he was already dead, but was surprised at his age. I thought he was older tbh.
 
Roy Hayward 99, nobody famous, D-Day veteran, tank crewman, lost both his legs when his tank was ambushed and exploded, despite his injuries he saved all the other crew in the tank.
When asked he said his injuries were just bad luck, but I made it home unlike many others, let’s remember them.

Im forever amazed at how matter of factly that generation describe absolutely horrific events.
