The R.I.P. Thread

The man was a legend :(

This is a lousy year.

Wtf, this is shit news.

Guardian now reporting it too.

It's on the beeb website too.
Big "prince dies" headline surrounded by stories about the queens birthday.

Found my cat about a week ago on one of his trails. He had been very badly bitten/eaten, and was hardly recognisable, apart from his dodgy eye.
I knew before i saw clearlY, that it was him, and my house is now a very empty place without him.
He most certainly was a celebrity.

Fucking ell some important people snuffing it lately, true pop genius, my eldest went to see him live a couple of years ago and he said it was the best gig he'd ever been to and he's been to loads from Neds Atomic Dustbin to Led Zeppelin

Thats horrible pav, so sorry.

Bloody hell, he was only 57. Another one gone.

Thanks Sooze, he was a mate more than a cat, and i loved the fact that he terrorised Acropolis 1's dog, simply by sitting down on the route the dog wanted to go. If the dog was in the house, Tiggs sat right in front of the door onto the verandah, If the dog was out, he sat sleeping right in the centre of the route back in.

Ha ha even though the bugger wouldn't eat dog food ever, whenever i fed them both, my monster was straight into the dog's bowl, and I swear I heard him laughing on more then one occassion.

Now to find a kitten and start training again.

Burying him was a horror.

Sorry to hear of your loss mate, as I put before the loss of a pet is hard to take

Another musical great gone - not my taste in music, but clearly a massive talent

Pav - sorry to hear your news, must have been hard finding the animal in that state

Tiggs sounded a right character pav. But then of course he was, he lived with you! I'm sure you will soon get another one and Tiggs will be watching making sure you train it the right way :)

a question for any proffessor out there..is cancer increasing, simlar or declining??

Unbelievable, now Prince :( I'm not a fan of funk or pop and certainly wasn't in the 80s but When Doves Cry, Raspberry Beret, and Purple Rain transcended musical tastes and niches. It's ironic as I've been listen to Purple Rain several time in the last few days and after 25 odd years I realised what a good guitarist he was. Appreciation often comes too late :(

FFS I've only just seen the news about Prince. One of the most talented musicians of his generation. An absolute legend.

Rest in peace Prince. I was not a fan of his music, but it is still sad to hear of him dying so young.

He was indeed a very good guitarist, songwriter and producer. You could add "Sign of the times" to that list.
