The R.I.P. Thread

Another bit of childhood gone,RIP lady Penelope out of the original thunderbirds TV show,Sylvia Andersonville died aged 88

Paul Daniels has died. Remember seeing him at the Grand in Wolves when I was about 11 or 12, it was one thing to see it on TV but to actually see the magic from the 2nd or 3rd row was amazing.

2016 is a really bad year, there'll be nobody famous left at the end of it the way it's going, frank Sinatra jr has died aged 72, but Paul Daniels is the big star who's gone today as well

Know what you mean, when I lived in Lincoln there was a bloke who did magic tricks in the pub,for a pint, when you're watching from 2-3 feet away, and and get asked to pick a card, you do,and then find out you're sitting on it,or its in your pocket, belief it's nonsense has to be suspended

RIP Paul Daniels, he was the Saturday night entertainment show on the telly growing up for me. His style is now somewhat outdated by the modern magicians but he was massive at the time.

He also introduced me to the psychedelic experience (which stood me in good stead for my teenage years) with his Wizzbit creation. RIP Paul

RIP Barry Hines. I remember reading a Kestrel for a Knave as a kid and it was brilliant. The film Kes was also a superb adaptation. And then he also wrote the stunning and harrowing Threads.

This. Best British comedy duo of all time.

Whoa, sweeping statement that, you've obviously forgotten the ultimate British comedy duo there, the chuckle brothers!(you thought I was going down the obvious route of M&W didn't you)

R.I.P. Ronnie Corbett.

A true comedy genius. The Two Ronnies was superb.

Kris Travis has died aged 32 after a battle with Cancer. He was one of the best wrestlers in the UK and one of the kindest in the business! R.I.P
