The R.I.P. Thread

Former Milan and Italy player and coach and father of Paolo, Cesare Maldini aged 84

RIP

RIP Howard Marks (mr nice) died aged 70 after loosing his fight against bowel cancer. A quite remarkable life.

Gareth Thomas - Blake in Blake's 7 amongst other things. Gone today aged 71. Such a great programme made by great characters with the flimsiest of sets.

Comedian Victoria Wood has died aged 62 - cancer again.

RIP.

Terribly sad news. A very funny lady, and as Jinky says, another victim of cancer.

R.I.P.

Very sad to hear about Victoria Wood, always reminds me of watching telly with my mom, a very talented comedian/entertainer

RIP

Tragic, same age as myself, no age nowadays, I'll never forget Acorn Antiques, comedy gold.

Another one goes - a very funny & inventive lady.

A wordsmith whose songs matched the comedy of Flanders & Swann

what is this " wipe out legends year"? So many really true stars have gone in the first quarter. Never known anything like it.

Love this quote of hers

“Everyone’s a national treasure these days; you can’t move for them,” she told the Daily Mail last year. “But there should only ever be one at a time. For years, it was Dame Thora Hird. After she died, it was going to be Judi Dench, but then Joanna Lumley saved the Gurkhas so she got the gig.”

Morag Stiller, 46 (cancer)

Guy Hamilton, 93

Absolutely ridiculous start to the year. Now Prince has passed away. Another legend.
