The R.I.P. Thread

Close this thread now! we are encouraging some pretty awesome people to pop their clogs.

Used to start my days off listening to the breakfast show. He was part of my growing up years. He also had one of the loveliest, cheekiest smiles around.

RIP Sir Terry Wogan.

This month is just awful for deaths, ill health news and other shite. Hope February is a little kinder.

Another sad day - Terry Wogan a part of my morning for many years (used to love the 'Janet & John' stories though am sure that those doing them got more enjoyment out of doing them than we did listening)

Fact of life that as ones ages more & more of those who meant something to you, whether family/friend or celebrity/musician will leave us

FECK!

RIP Frank Kelly

Played the role of Father Jack to perfection...RIP Frank Kelly

R.I.P. George Kennedy. I thought he was a really good actor, and best remembered for roles in Cool Hand Luke and Naked Gun.

I remember George Kennedy for the disaster movie genre - Earthquake and Airport. But he was ace at comedy and Cool Hand Luke was completely different again. Very versatile actor.

The acting quality and chemistry between George Kennedy and Paul Newman in Cool Hand Luke is about as good as it gets. RIP George.

RIP George Martin, legendary producer, so called fifth Beatle

The word legend is bandied about far too much nowadays but in this case it is totally apt.

Apparently some Game of Thrones fans were concerned to learn of his passing as he hasn't finished the latest book...

And now Keith Emmerson, what is happening this year ????

Emerson, Lake and Palmer were one of the first bands I got into, a great band.

R.I.P. to another great.
