The R.I.P. Thread

R I P Glenn Frey,
Eagles were a brilliant band and easily the best sound for a live concert, along with Dire Straits I have ever heard.

Jeez they are building a brill band in Heaven right now, not that I'm rushing for a ticket mind.

Only just seen this news - FFS, yet another great leaves us. I'm off to play Desperado at a very loud volume. Bloody love that song.

RIP Jack Bannister. Richie Benaud aside he was my favourite cricket commentator. He was pretty handy out in the middle in his day also. Big Wolves fan to boot.

Real shame about Jack Bannister, had such a great voice.

Will never forget listening to him describe the ashes win in 2005 - I could only pick up talk sport on my satellite radio and as we neared the victory he went 'sod any contract I'm going ball to ball' or words to that effect, it was brilliant.

A hugely passionate man about English cricket. Plenty of his opinions about it I have disagreed with over the years, and his talksport gig meant he was required to deal in hyperbole that I felt didn't do him many favours, but I always liked him and he was very listenable. A great shame that he has gone.

RIP Henry Worsely.

Explorer Henry Worsley has died after suffering exhaustion and dehydration during a solo attempt to cross Antarctica.

Godfather actor Abe Vigoda, 94, who played Salvatore Tessio has died peacefully in his sleep (a fact v fiction irony about that)

RIP Tessio

Sir Terry Wogan has passed away aged 77

Just watching it on sky. Terribly sad news. Cancer claims another victim.

R.I.P. Sir Terry Wogan

That's sad news. Lots of fond memories watching Terry on a variety of shows growing up.

RIP.

Also actor Frank Finlay died yesterday aged 89

Sad news about Terry Wogan, he was my childhood growing up, on the radio every morning as I was getting ready for school :(
