The Official FIFA World Cup 2022 Megathread

I don’t recall the 2010 team being that bad to watch, even if they weren’t as good as they could have been.

I have rose-colored glasses for pretty much anything that was involved in SA 2010, tho.

Fucking hell though. Just because it’s Brazil it didn’t “spoil a good goal”. He was offside. End of story.

This blowing of smoke up the Brazilian collective arse is tiresome. This isn’t the 1970 or even 1982 side. It’s mediocre by their standards.
So much this. They haven't played beautiful football since 1986. They've won 2 world cups in 50 years - same as Italy, same as Argentina, same as France and less than Germany.

The 94 Dunga side probably was the worst. Very, very cynical too.
Yeah, a very mechanical side with a lethal finisher, nothing more.

They were SHIT in 2010 like everyone other than Spain, who were miles clear of everyone, knew it and bored their way to the trophy.

Absolute rubbish in 2014 and 2018. 2014 came with added God bothering and mawkishness.

2010 was such a horrible tournament too, I feel sorry for you!

Vecino channelling Paulo Montero there and not looking great for Ruben (or us).

Thankfully appears to be ok.

Jammy as fuck for Ronaldo to claim that 😂

Something needs to change with international management, IMO. Too many talented nations managed by absolute morons. Add Uruguay to the list.

Is all I have to say.

Not agreeing with your use of wording, however I do agree that their are some high quality managers that wouldn't dare leave club management.

I honestly see the end game being a model where managers can do both club and international management concurrently. Not just a Football Manager concept, but at some point clubs will cotton on to the branding benefits too.
