The Official FIFA World Cup 2022 Megathread

Without wanting to blow my own trumpet, mine was legit! My wife's Korean family's WhatsApp group was a rollercoaster of emotions during that match.
Unlucky not to equalise at the end there..

Fucking hell I've heard more off Joe Allen then Jill Scott winning the jungle thingy last 24 hours...

Great world cup for Hwang. Injured for the first two games and his country pretty much knocked out before he's kicked a ball.
And if he makes their final game he faces his Wolves mates

Loved McCoist in his playing days, loved him on QOS, like him as a co-commentator, but hated him as Rangers manager. He and Lennon behaved like children when their tenures overlapped, fanning the flames of sectarianism.

He’s actually good on Talksport in the mornings, which is essential as Laura Woods isn’t great. Better than Alan Brazil but that’s a low bar.

I thought you had a legit connection. Must have been a wild ride.

Man, now I want kimchi.

That was very unlucky for Brazil.

I do wince a bit at those sorts of technical offsides though. Coming back from an offside position rarely gives an advantage.

Same as Neto against Leicester at home a few years ago, coming back from taking the corner.

Brazil used to be exhilarating. 1982 scarred them and they have been much more pragmatic and often dull since. Yet for some reason the tv companies want us to worship them. Fuck that.

Feel free to wince but it’s a binary factual decision as soon as he touches the ball

Obviously. It's just not in the spirit of how the law was intended.

I thought they were good (but not brilliant) in 1998 and 2002
