The NFL Thread

he's always been a drama queen

I'm friends with a ton of people from chicago and they all hate the organization. :icon_lol: resigning cutler at all, let alone to a huge contract, was utterly flabbergasting. dude is the statistical definition of average. even his best season was middling, IIRC.

Does that mean the Bears will be looking at Mariota or Winston then?

Yep. I was astounded with the deal he was given last year...The back up who came in when Cutler was injured was MILES better in the season before last

From what I've seen they have freed up (or are freeing up) the money for a tilt at signing Suh and Cobb but it's just rumours at the moment

I'd laugh if the Bears went for Mariota, the kid has 'Bust' written all over him. I don't think there's a good QB in the draft class.

I haven't seen anything of them but I saw some of Winston's interviews and he is way too sure of himself, think he's the dogs bollocks already.

Can't say I'm super thrilled about Ndamukong Suh being a Dolphin for the next 6 years...

LeSean McCoy nullified right off the bat, innit

Have to hope he gets himself banned before your games against them!

To be fair we played Detroit last year and Suh got a whopping 3 tackles and 0 sacks, in fact he's been a non factor every time we played the Lions. Though he didn’t have Cameron Wake playing next to him then! And we have Richie Incognito to go against him now- will be interesting to see who is the 1st of those two to get ejected!

Ugh, forgot you lot had signed Incognito, the cunt.

Mark Sanchez signs a two year deal with Philadelphia. Good move for both parties, IMHO. He's underrated.

Apparently Frank Gore has signed with Philly as well? That would also be an interesting move. Gore averaged 5 ypc out of the shotgun last season and the Eagles run more shotgun than any other team.

he had like 2 good games as a backup last year and has been utter crap for the rest of his last 5 years in the league

sample size points to crap

71 games played, average QB rating of 74.1, ~18,000 yards, 84 TDs, 80 INTs.

That ain't too shabby. More INTs than you'd like but those stats still say he's better than probably 20ish starting QBs in the league.

Also;

  • Byron Maxwell to Philly
  • Mark Ingram stays with the Saints (yes!)
  • Jeremy Maclin to Kansas City
  • Reggie Bush to Carolina (rumored)
  • Devin McCourty stays with New England
