The NFL Thread

Cardinals 21 up against the Rams in the first quarter too.

One of the things that baffle me in the NFL is when a OL randomly declares as eligible DCs / defensive captains aren't able to work out what's happening on the fly

It's as if they can't think at all and react. Tinpot theory from me is that American sports exist in very tight restraints and moving out of that with creatively just confuses lots of men with clipboards who just look lost.

I actually think it's one of the legitimate failings of the current hyper-fixation on analytics.

Though I don't think you're wrong, Johnny.

Soft pass interference call helps give the Chiefs the win, Butker on the phone to his wife to get his tea on for him.

Giants v Commanders looks like a real thrill fest of a touchdown free game.

Sort of sums up the two outfits - completely shit.

Just put into an impossible position and it's broken him. No Oline, no weapons, batshit owner, HC sacked, new HC panicking because he knows Tepper has a trigger finger. I've no idea if he'd have been any good if he'd gone somewhere else, height is always going to be a limiter, but R Wilson (in the past) and Murray play around that but there he was set to fail from day 1

Yeah, Tepper is all of Jerry Jones’s asshattery and meddling without any semblance whatsoever of Jerry’s football knowledge.

It's interesting how so far in a short sample size, offenses have seemingly evolved this season. Average yards passing per game is down to around 193ypg per team, which is pretty low. Defenses have adjusted over the last few years, become smaller and faster to cope with the prolific passing attacks and frequently playing DBs in a 2 deep shell to shut down the deep passing attack.

So this season, a lot more teams are going to the run game to attack the lighter defenses. It's an interesting dynamic and a natural cycle in the NFL evolution. It will be interesting to see if this carries on further into the season.

He's not even as good as Zach Wilson. Absolute bust with no traits that you'd look for in an NFL QB. And they could have had CJ Stroud... oh boy.
That’s how it worked out but don’t forget that Carolina was in the majority for rating Bryce higher than CJ.

He looks mentally broken. Frankly, I’m worried for him. He looked like he was anywhere but in his own body on Sunday.

I haven't seen it, but I have read that he looked like he was almost in tears after he missed a simple screen pass to Adam Thielen?

More than once with different misses to open guys, but yeah I think I know exactly the play you’re referring to.

I’ve been keeping up with Bryce since he was 15 or 16 when Alabama started recruiting him. It’s really painful for me to watch him fail this hard.

I can’t imagine sacrificing so much to work toward a dream, being not just successful but dominant every step of the way, and then just falling off the mountain altogether right before the summit. I just hope he has a good support network.

Tua to IR, most unusual for a concussion. Buying everyone time by the looks of things
